It's 8 foot long, and the only size they carried. I need maybe one foot. So I bought just in case, but was able to find a 2 foot cord for a fraction of the price. Just too much cable to lay around from the laptop to the monitor. I'm sure it does a good job. I did try it out, it worked well. But was just way too much cord. They need to provide other sizes.
