Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.NOT FOR EXTERNAL HARD DRIVES!!!!! 480 Mbps Cable its fine for what its made for (charging, slow transfer) but the guy at the geek squad counter who helped me grab the cable allowed me to buy it for an external hard drive. 10 Gbps (1250 MB/s) and 20 Gbps (2500 MB/s) are are what you want, but this is a 60 MB/s cable.
