Have used Duracells, Energizers, and other major brands of alkaline batteries in the past, and find that these easily last as long in my devices (remotes, mice, keyboards, kids toys, etc) as any of the other major brands.I can't yet comment on the shelf life, as these are pretty new, but I've also purchased Best Buy's Dynex brand of alkaline batteries and never had any issues with storage, so I expect the same of these. At the daily deal price, these are excellent batteries.

great batteries. just them on my xbox controllers and they work fine. i go thru a bunch as i'm a gamer, but hey they aren't meant to last forever but they get the job done.

Almost straight to the point: FYI, technically these are "cells". "Batteries" are made up of more than one connected cell such as in the typical 9V. For all cells, the types of the electrode materials in the cells will determine the cell's (fixed) voltage. The current (which does the work, measured in amps) will be determined by the amount of these electrode materials installed into the cell by the manufacturer. If you want more power (volts x amps), just compare the weight of an equal number of Brand "X" cells to the weight of another brand under consideration. Okay, for those of you who had the attention span to make it this far, here's that point (finally): Buy the heavier ones.

60 batteries for $10!!! Worth it! They have a decent lifespan for the price, they don't last quite as long as the Dynex (which is an excellent battery btw) but they definitely last more then long enough to justify the price... Even when they're not on sale, which is about $17 I think. Good value.

The batteries are good from previous in-store purchases of this. When ordering online you have to wait a week to pick them up.
