The sound is great -- for CDs and tapes -- whether the box is plugged in or on batteries. The radio uses a flexible wire antenna that does a better job picking up broadcast stations than the fixed wire antennas. It does not have a remote controller, but neither did the originals! There are more expensive models, but they aren't any better.

I would have preferred a better quality speaker, but it serves it's purpose well. Didn't cost all that much, it was perfect for what I was looking for.

Great clean look, excellent sound reproduction (cassette recorder) and Bluetooth as well. All this for such a reasonable price. As Edith Piaf sang, "... je ne regret rien!" (I regret nothing!) This Insignia product raises the number to seven (7) items I have from this brand, and still counting... ☮️

Great Boombox!

This was perfect. Easy to use and it sounds great. The best part is it also has Bluetooth so we can pair our iPhones to it as well if necessary.

It works great, and now I have a way to listen to my older tapes. Much better than other, flimsy products I have tried!

It wasn’t exactly what I was looking for, but thought it could work. They wanted something to play cd’s on in their garage. I think they are happy with it!
