purchased this item for assembling computer. strap seemed to protect against static discharge. only problem was alligator clip didn't grip very well and stay attached to ground.

It is a tool that you must have when working with computer parts.

This is a good anti-static wristband. It is adjustable and it comes with an extendable coil. The only con that I could see with it would be the adjustable size if your wrist is on the big side for it supports wrists up to 9" in diameter (8" comfortably). This is a MUST HAVE if you build computers.

Working on electronics under low humidity conditions is just asking for trouble unless grounded. This device allows adequate freedom of movement while upgrading a desk and/or lap computers while minimizing the chance of "arcing" across and destroying some component. Worth the investment

The thing I like the best about this antistatic wristband is that it has an easy, but yet secure snap on and off feature that lets you keep your grounding where you have it, but yet you can move away to get something, then just snap it back on when going back to working on what you were working on.

This is a nicely crafted device that I used when building my new computer, it worked perfectly and I felt comfortable with handling the motherboard and other components when building it. The cord has a nice length and the band fits comfortably!

If you need to do things to your computer that requires you to open the case, I wouldn't hesitate to use this. It's cheap insurance and peace of mind to not mess up an expensive, still new to me comp.

Alleviated my concerns about static while building a PC, comfortable and easy to use for someone with large wrists.
