    Today is January 15th, 2017. I purchased the 10' Insignia Iphone cord for my Iphone 5 after my other cord died. The cord worked well for 8 months but the wiring at charge input end right before the plug split and the wires now show and the product now unusable. I kept this wire right next to my bed and haven't moved it. To have split that much from very little wear and tear in 8 months is unacceptable. Luckily there is a 1 year warranty. today I purchased the modal best buy exclusive braided cable because braided supposedly lasts longer. Both cables worked on an Iphone 5 with the LifeProof case on. (I had concerns over this as I am sure others have).

    This 10 foot cord has made my life so much easier. It is so nice to be able to plug the phone in anywhere and still be able to sit comfortably and use it while it is charging regardless of where the power plugs are.

    This is the 2nd or 3rd insignia charger that I've I purchased within the last 2 years. The quality is declining. These cord used to last a lot longer. Anywhere from a year or two. Now it seems as though the cords are beginning to tear/erode within a matter of months. This will probably be the last insginia cord I purchase.
