Upon opening the product and attempting to connect i learned this is for iphone products. At least customer service offered to replace the item for the correct cord and forgave the difference in price. I was surprised its the only apple product that is cheaper than an android product

It does that ok, but it will not do anything more than that, such as phone or music sync with the car. The *official* cable that came with her phone does it all, so we have had to move it to the car and use this Insignia for her backup charger. Not a huge deal since we had an extra cable, but it would have been nice if it had actually worked as advertised
