It worked perfectly, syncing my obsolete iPod with iTunes on my MacBook Pro. I was able to return the iPod to factory settings, and load it with podcasts. Thank goodness someone still makes a cable for my perfectly good, old iPod circa 2006!

So glad Insignia makes this, since it isn't easy to find any 30-pin Apple products now. I've found these to be very durable. My only wish would be for a longer length cable.

As a result there's always a shortage of these cables (since the new iPhones come with the lighting cable) so I needed a bunch of these cables. I've used these with older iPads and iPhones. Data sync and power worked just fine. I can't really tell if power transfer was a bit slow since I tend to hook the device up overnight and it generally charges fully by then, but I gave a few cables out to people and everybody seems to be perfectly happy with these. The cables are fairly long as well, so you can place the device further away from the power strip to reduce congestion a bit.
