Works on a classic ipod for plugging into your car usb port or for charging

A charging cable is a simple thing. Insignias cable for Apple products is somewhat sturdier than Apple's. The joints where the cable mates with the plugs, and the cable itself are stronger and thicker than Apple's. We have found over the years that these joints are a weak spot in Apple branded cables. What might be a drawback to some is the that the thicker cable is stiffer and resists being balled up to put in a pocket. This is no problem for us as we have a family recharging station in the kitchen that the cable never leaves.

Charging cable to charge phone is so essential for every day use. I bought an extra one to have on hand for unexpected travel or visits to ER/hospital (with my brother) or long delays away from home. Always keep the one at home plugged in but the second one is my travel away from home "spare" which comes in handy. It's better to have it and not use it than to need it and not have it.

The 4' cord for my iPad has been so useful. I'd recommend buying it for replacement of the shorter cord given with iPads.

Just what I needed for my iPad 1. There are programs on it no longer available and the charger cord was badly frayed.

Replacing an Apple cord that broke next to the plug - INEXCUSABLE, considering the cost!! The Insignia seems more durable.

Had an old Ipod Nano and needed a new charging cord. The Insignia Apple MFi certified 4' 30 pin charge and sync cable did just the trick. The only thing that could have been better was if the cord came in a longer length. Other than that would purchase this product again, if needed.
