Better quality cable shielding, plug-in fits better in the phone end and the additional few inches of length helps when you are plugged in and using the phone as a hand held.

Good replacement, lower quality

I feel that the quality of this cable could be better, but you can't expect much better with the price, unless you're willing to pay 4x as much for the Apple equivalent.

Went to Best Buy and there it was. Once purchased, worked perfectly.

Excellent replacement cable

I took it home and it worked exactly like the original. It has a smaller profile which turned out to be helpful.
