Expensive and ultimately pointless

After I returned the adapter I returned the cable and bought a Lightning to Thunderbolt cable instead. I've heard rumors that Apple cables protect the phone more than off-brand ones (something about cycling the battery while charging it) but I kind of figure it's all a lie to get us to pay out the nose for their product... Who knows?

Good cable does it's job
