Works with Apple iPhone

The problem is that many 3rd party cables don't work or break quickly or send errors on apple products as not being authorized. The Best Buy sales person advised me that anything they carry in the store is authorized by Apple and guaranteed to work. This was indeed true and the cable cost was much less than the apple branded one. Serves the same exact purpose for less money. Win.
