Why buy a short charging cable? To use with a backup portable charger. I have a battery backup that I carry with me so I don't run low on battery power for either my iPad or iPhone. This works well without taking up much space. I have a similar cord that is micro USB for my friends and relatives who are Android users.

I've been looking for a cord that can replace the giant charging cords that are usually purchased for the iPhone. This one is small enough to carry with my portable charger in a ziplock bag in my back pocket and when it's being used, there isn't useless cord length. It can sit on the table and basically go unnoticed as it does its duty.

I use this cable in my Toyota Camry. My Camry's audio is set up for use specifically with an Apple product. So, if I want to be able to fully use all the controls of my audio system I have to use an Apple product. This cable is very short so it doesn't crowd the little cubby hole my Ipod is in. So far it has performed beautifully.

Excellent purchase! Just what I was looking for. The cord that came with my iPhone was so long and inconvenient to have in my pocket with my cell phone and battery pack. This is perfect for my needs.

2/18/20: it’s still working which means a lot. I have had the experience of using cables for my Apple products that were not made by Apple and they would only work for a few months. This cable was worth its selling price because it is still working well.

Perfect for the car. Didn't want a bunch of excess cable hanging out of my dash. I can plug my phone in and close the little door on the console compartment and let the rest happen via CarPlay. Nice and neat.

Not being a Apple product I wanted to make sure it worked as needed. It does and was almost half as much money. The reason I bought the Insignia brand was the Apple product wasn’t in stock. That was lucky for me as I got what I needed and saved some money.

I use this cable in my Wrangler to connect my iPhone X to my car stereo through the USB port that I placed in one of the cigarette lighters ports. It's the perfect length and is very flexible. Not too certain about durability since I just purchased it but the price was right at around $12.

I love this charging cord! It is the perfect length for our charging station, and short enough that it doesn't disappear to other areas of the house! It stays with our charging station so I can count on it always being there. Definitely recommend this length for charging stations.

Needed a lightning cable for my phone in my car. 3ft is too long, it bunches up in armrest. The short size makes it easy to stow the phone in the armrest while plugged in. And had no issue with the data dropped out unlike the last cable I got from Amazon.

great little cable for charging right from your laptop. It's very quality built due to the flat design of the cable. I went through 2 lightning cable charger, both wires were broken at the end of the U.S.B connection from constant usage. So far I have been using it as the charger for my vehicle. It works very well.

Item is small and convenient. Color matches all the phones abd Pads. Easy to find and was available at all the Best Buy stores. But not all sales staff knows to check tosee if these type products are Apple, Android specific or fit both. Keep your receipt until you’ve tried it out.

Needed a second charger because my family thinks I buy them for them so they could keep as their own. Figured I'd get a short charger and it still worked awesome despite the fact it wasn't a Belkin or Apple charger. And my brother still took it. But overall it's beyond satisfactory.
