We purchased the apple lightning charger and sync cable to make it easier to plug into the charger. The smaller cable is convent to carry and use when plugging in. You don't have the long cable hanging, with the short one.

The only thing better than this short cord would be a built in dock for my car. Minor issue to use Carplay, but this cord makes it simple to connect.

Very nice! I use this I'm my car for my iPod touch. It's better than the Apple cable because you don't have to worry about the ends bending up and wires showing after a while.
