I love this brand. The cords seem to last much longer than others.

There are other brands, but this little puppy has put up with some abuse and still charges fine. The longer cables tend to die pretty quick. So far, it's taken a lickin' and still keeps tickin'.

Cable works and the length is great. However the cable is stiff meaning that it is not as flexible as you would normally expect if you are used to your iPhone charging cable. This can (and did - but I caught it) cause a phone to be pushed off a desk due to stiffness in the wire as you move the other end of the cable instead of the wire bending - the phone moves. In addition, because it is stiff that likely means that it will break internally over time if it is bent too much too often - more so than the cable the phone came with (both will fail if bent too much too often). The cable did not come with any "minimum bend information" or instructions of any kind (as is very typical with the inexpensive Best Buy Insignia label imported stuff) but usually anything with this many wires in it in a small area "HAS" to be made to bend and flex a bit and this cable seems not to be made with that in mind. Please do not miss-understand - it is not like it's not usable but if you pay this much for a cable to charge a phone or transfer data you want it to last. If it is not really flexible it can fail from too many bends or bends that are too tight. It gets 3 stars because it is stiff enough to make problems when laying the phone down and plugging the other end of the cable into a charger. Instead of the cable bending the phone can move instead. Imagine breaking a $700 phone just because the $14 cable pushed it off the counter. last note - Insignia stuff is usually a little less expensive than a name brand - so buy this cable if you understand and can deal with the limitations because it is less expensive and it does work.
