I needed a replacement cable to charge my iPhone and iPad because the original cable provided broke through the outer coating. This Insignia cable works great and is also thicker than the version that comes from Apple so it should not have the same problem of cracking near the end. It is also 6 feet long so it provides more versatility as to where I am able to use it. Not restricted to a short distance for charging your device.
