I purchased this cable as a back-up cable to use for charging my iPhone at the office.

This was purchased by my spouse and it would not work with an iPhone 6. It may be that it’s just the older iPhone models with which it doesn’t work - I’m not sure. I just advise you look closely at the packaging before purchase and save the packaging until you know whether it really works or not. I got an error message that said, “this accessory may not be compatible”.

I needed an extra cable and didn't want to pay apple's premium, so caught this Insignia cable on sale. The cable isn't as flexible as the apple cable, and the housing around the lightning connector is larger than I'd like. It doesn't fit some of my devices in cases- but since this is mostly for my phone, that one works. It is a lower quality cable overall, but if you use is in a 'plug in and forget' manner, it will probably last well.

Will buy again. The product is great and I will undoubtedly lose it so will buy again.
