I used it for gaming for initially my left wrist. However, I found it even more useful to use it to prop my keyboard up at a forward angle. The put my wrist at a more comfortable angle, like an ergonomic keyboard. However, ergonomic keyboards aren't mechanical keyboards. So I found a nice workaround. The wider version would do better at this, however. Still, very comfy with great quality construction!
