The item works but you can't tell if the battery is going when not in use.

This has quickly become one of my favorite gadgets for reasons i didnt even think of when i got it. One of the best things about this device is how easy it is to set up. For example all I had to do was plug it into the aux port in my car and pair it with my iPhone. Now, whenever I get in my car, I can stream music from my phone without any wires or hassle of things like an FM device hanging around making static on my radio (older japanese SUV you cant replace the stereo in). The sound quality is really good, and there's no real noticable lag or delay in the audio with it being bluetooth 5.3 which is nice. Of course there is slight delay because thats the nature of bluetooth but your only looking at around 150ms with this here which is low enough not to notice in practice just keep that in mind. Plus, the device is really small and unobtrusive, so it doesn't take up any extra space in my center console. I've also been using it at home to turn my wired gaming headset into a wireless one lol. This has been a game-changer for me because I have always been too cheap to buy another set of headphones to use away from my gaming PC. I dont think this would power a high ohm pair of headphones because it doesnt get blaringly loud on these which are faily low ohm and easy to drive but it gets louder than say a PSX controller does when i connect. Now my Cloud 2 wired headset can just plug its short cord into this box and it works like wireless so i can clean the house without having to buy airpods! The device has a built-in battery that lasts for hours like this which is surprising given the size of it. Overall, I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to upgrade their audio experience without spending an arm and a leg to do it by getting the hundreds of dollars of items you can just use this to replace. It's really easy to set up, versatile, and has great sound quality. It has completely changed the way I listen to music in my car and use my gaming headset at home.

Bought theee to use with my AirPods. It would not stay paired. Gave up.

Sounds a bit distorted when playing music louder. Only use as a receiver.

Volume when i connected to the TV was extremely low. Worst buy ever

When it comes to electronics you never know when you're going to draw a lemon. I guess it's my turn. This receiver worked great for a few weeks when, suddenly, it stopped turning on. I used it as recently as this morning, for 3 hours. I've recharged it twice. From a functional standpoint tt did what it was suppose to but to die so quickly negates any positives. Have to give it a 1.

this product need to be connect to the charge if not does not work properly always is a low battery, I use few time sort periods of time and try to return but I can cause have short period time for return so I do not recommend , can not give any stars

This item doesn't work for my intended purposes. I did a bunch of trial and error with only errors. Unfortunately, I missed the return window of 60 days when I thought I had 90 days for the membership plus.

Will not connect to any of my Bluetooth devices. Tried so hard but it didn’t stop blinking and refused to connect.

I am able to use my older A/V receiver (which is high end and still works great) with my newer more advanced cellular phone. It works as described and is easy to setup and use. I’ve been using my Insignia Bluetooth Audio Receiver for almost a week now and I’m happy to say that it works fine and as intended. I am a big fan of Best Buy’s Insignia products and when faced with a choice to save a little money or get the more popular name brand item, I usually choose to save money buy buying Insignia, knowing that I’m going to get the same quality for less and in some cases, better quality, so when I saw that Insignia made an item that I needed and could use, this Bluetooth Audio Transmitter Receiver was easy decision for me. The Bluetooth Audio Receiver is well packaged and the instructions on how to use it are written in plan language that’s easy to understand. You will be using this in no time. You get up to 16 hours of usage before it needs to be changed again and you’re able to charge it using USB type C charging or lightning (I really like having both options as I have cables for both). When I first received it, I didn’t know it came with an option for transmitting and receiving; that makes this even more versatile and can be used in various fashions. I don’t always want to use a five foot audio cable to connect my A/V to my TV and/or projector and this device allows me to use the Bluetooth feature to get the audio I’m looking for without a hassle. You simply charge it, connect it to one of your devices that you want to receive the sound and then bluetooth pair it to the device that you will send the sound from and you’re ready to go. And you can use it the other way around as well on devices that allow for transmitting sound and receiving sound. The Insignia Bluetooth Wireless Audio Transmitter and Receiver is a good item to have around the house or office and on the go. It will make your life a lot simpler, its ease of use and versatility allows you to use it just about anywhere.

I’m a fan of older speaker sets, like the ones from the long gone Cambridge Soundworks. I have a Model 12 Portable speaker set that I just love but the amp that comes with it is super old and doesn’t have any wireless tech included with it… well thanks to this Bluetooth audio transmitter (and a 3.5 TRS to 1/4” stereo TRS converter), I can have Bluetooth audio connected on my old Hi-Fi! This also works similar to other Bluetooth transmitters where you plug into a 3.5 audio device and can broadcast to two sets of headphones using the newest version of Bluetooth 5. I tested this with an iPad which had a Google audio jack adapter to 3.5 on it (known as being one of the best DACs). It worked fine and had a pretty good range. I’m glad the battery on the Insignia is fairly strong because although it didn’t do the full 33ft range within our many walled house… when I was upstairs or in the basement while this was on the first floor of our house, I didn’t really have audio interruptions. I think the level is a tad weak in the ADC so you might need to boost the volume manually from the device you are transmitting. There is a delay too, so it's probably not great for certain types of games without synchronization. If you watch movies you might want to test a few minutes to see if there’s lag and adjust using your devices Bluetooth audio delay adjustment. But yeah… my absolute favorite use of this item is the receiver. It was easy to set up and gave reasonable sound quality for the convenience. There are a bunch of now inexpensive portable audio systems out there like the SoundWorks and Model 12 that would be great to use with a device like this! I honestly plan to buy another… or a second version that has more amplitude if one comes out.

Hard to use. Can’t operate so unable to rate other aspects.

The first thing I liked was that it is smaller than it looks in the pictures. For me that’s a huge (no pun intended) because it doesn’t get in the way of look or the small receiver that I use in our outdoor kitchen. It looks as if it was just part of it. The second thing that I liked was the build quality. This is no cheap Bluetooth receiver/transmitter. It feels study and looks like there was a lot of thoughts and effort in design and manufacturing. Range for my need is just perfect. All I wanted was to pair it with my phone with it while we’re in our outdoor kitchen or working in the backyard. The only issue was that it failed as I moved too far away from it, but this is not a problem with the Insignia Bluetooth transmitter. Bluetooth technology has a relatively small range. Audio quality was better than I expected, and I don’t say that lightly. My ears are very sensitive to audio quality. I can’t say It is perfect because Bluetooth has its limitations, but Insignia did a very good job with what they had. If you need an excellent Bluetooth Transmitter/Receiver, this is it. Just make sure that what you connect to it is also of good quality. I am confident that you’ll like it as much as I did.

Insignia - Bluetooth Wireless Audio Transmitter and Receiver - Black did the trick for me. I got this because I have an older projector with a tiny speaker and no Bluetooth function available. Now I can connect my more prominent Bluetooth speakers for outdoor functions and get my desired stereo sound. My granddaughter's older iPhone is not a problem. The battery life gets me through all my events, and with a 3.5 mm connector, my connection choice is almost limitless. I also appreciate that it charges on USBC as well as lightning cable. She has a charger on hand. And it has an effect mode that automatically balances audio performance and gives you a better-quality sound output. I picked up another one for the mics at my office. It was a very cost-effective way to add to conference room audio. With a 33 ft range, I can walk the entire room during presentations. If you are looking to add Bluetooth to some devices that you already have, this is a good choice. Check it out.

The insignia Bluetooth wireless receiver has worked wonderfully for both my husband and I. We've tried it in a couple different ways and every time it's been a breeze. First we use it on a road trip. We wanted to listen to podcasts in my husband's old truck. He doesn't have Bluetooth in there so we brought this along to hook up our phones too. Hell down the button, connected it to my Bluetooth. And we were listening to a podcast in his car speakers within 2 minutes. The sound quality was great, no fuzzy or radio sounds. After 6 hours, it had barely lost any battery life. We then decided to try it on our kitchen TV. We hooked it in, and connected it to a Bluetooth speaker on the other side of the kitchen. As my husband was cooking he could listen to sports, without having the TV turned up to 100. He then hooked him up to some headphones that he was able to wear while washing the dishes. It was a game changer in our house. Highly recommend! Can't wait to use it on a flight, That's where I really think you'll get your monies worth!
