The one I had previously since 1999 wasn’t recognizing that the CD was in it so it wouldn’t play. This one is smaller (no cassette deck) and plays a CD perfectly as well as the radio. Only thing I’d change is the same thing on all appliances… make it easier to read the functions. Directions helped with that though.

Just what I needed to play a single CD

The sound quality is excellent. It makes for a great way to listen to CD background music or the ball game on the radio. It can be plugged in or you can make it portable by using batteries. It was well worth the price.

It took a good minute to figure out how to work it (with the instructions of course) and it works great. The sound is excellent and the radio actually works really well. I couldn't be happier!

It's loud enough so I can hear it but not so loud as to disturb others. The FM radio comes in quite clear. I play WXXI so I can enjoy my classical music. Just wish that the bass is a little heavier. The price was great.

It does not take up a lot of space is is easy to use. There is no remote and it is very basic. After I bought the 1st one for my office, I bought a second one for my night stand. I would recommend this to anyone.

When there is bad weather its a security knowing we can still hear news since it can be powered by batteries as well as electricity/plug in.
