Gift to my wife to play “her” music. Happy wife, happy life. Unit is small, sound is crisp and it is easy to operate.

Small device. Big sound! Purchased to play my old cd collection.Radio and cd playerworks well.

It is hard to find boom boxes now with all the Bluetooth devices out there and docking stations for iPods and iPhones. This plays CD's and has a good AM/FM tuner. The sound quality is very good and it is perfect for a decent size room. The only downside is there is no remote control. But for $29.95, it's still a great value.

Bought the CD boom box to have a radio in the kitchen. Small appliance, so it doesn't take up that much room. Sound is good and it's very easy to use, making it a good value for the money.

Wanted a small C.D. player with a radio that was easy to use, and at a reasonable price. This was just what I was looking for with great sound, good volume, and at a good price.

This CD boombox is outstanding in quality, reception, versatility, portability, and value. We use it on our back patio screened porch and it is compact and easy to use. We absolutely love the sound/speakers and versatility. We highly recommend this product over any cell phone musical quality.

For the money this is a very amazing boombox. The sound quality is amazing. The radio works perfectly and I have not experienced anything wrong with the cd player. It is very light weight and easy to carry anyway. I have owned this unit for over 9 months and still works and sounds the same as it did when we first opened it.

I needed a CD player so that we could listen a CD that came with a piano music book for my children. I did not use a computer just for listening to CD, and I had a traditional SONY CD player which was maybe more than 15 years old. Unfortunately, it broke down, so I had to buy a new CD player. Then I went to Best Buy near our house, and realized there is almost no dedicated CD player available on sale. Fortunately, Insignia did have this portable CD player, which was very cheap and cheerful, but still serves the purpose. I could no longer find a traditional "CD stereo player" which I used to have since I was a child. Anyway, the sound quality of this player is acceptable given its very low price. Not much of bass sound, but that's expected of a portable player of this size. Lightweight and easy to carry around the house and even outside. It also has a radio, which is a plus as well.

I needed something for my elementary age kids to use for their Kidz Bop CDs and the like. I didn't need premium sound (but this is very good) with pounding bass. I needed something that was easy to use, light so easy to carry, had both CD and digital radio options. This fits the bill perfectly. Plus I could pick it up in the store the day I needed it. Very happy with my purchase.

Easy set up, it haves a great CD player, digital AM/FM stereo tuner. Great sound and includes AC power cord .Very light weight making it easily portable has an appealing price tag

This is a nice sized boom box. Not too big or two small. It has a good sound and is easy to operate. I love that it has a radio with it. I bought it for my grandchild who is 10 and she loves it.

I needed a small-ish boombox for the bathroom, but the selection of such devices is rather limited these days. I have several other Insignia products, and I've been quite pleased with them, so I ordered this item. Unfortunately, while it worked acceptably playing CDs and aux devices, the tuner was incapable of pulling in my usual FM stations without introducing a great deal of hiss. The overall sound is rather lacking in bass response, but it's clear enough for talk radio - if the stations came in more cleanly.

Needed an AM-FM-CD -wanted something with good sound; not looking to cobble components. The choices are scarce here and led me to portable "boom-boxes". It is mid-2021 and teh shelves are near bare - this was the only one I could get. It was inexpensive, obviously the Best-Buy knock-off brand from China - was I surprised when I turned it on!!!! Reception is good, sound is good (not as full as my echo dot but good) & the CD player is good. Buttons are small and the labeling even smaller (PIA) - - But for the price, I filled my need and will most likely not replace it. I am very satisfied and would recommend this.

This was purchased for my father to listen in his garage. He loves it. The radio and CD player work well. It is compact and easy to get started.

I bought this combination CD / Radio for my sister as a birthday present. She tells me it sounds good and works well. It is easy to use and compact. Good value for the low cost.

Easy-to-use & has a decent sound & attractive, small device

Good value for the price. i basically use in my garage to play cd's & sports on the radio when i'm outside. Sound is very good; volume is good; fairly easy to operate. Very good for my uses.

I received a Victrola as a gift so I could play radio, c.d., and vinyl, and the supposed value was approximately $175. It worked less than a year, and with no warranty insurance extension purchased by the gift giver, it feels like a waste of a product. Considering where the company manufacturers this externally fun looking but internally inept audio product, and how also the U.S. doesn't provide replacement parts because of who sources the victrola, I decided to never spend more than $40 on another piece of audio junk made in the same country. A quality turntable is in my longview, but as someone who needs to listen to music every day, I opted to give this $29.99 Insignia boombox a whirl, so I could at least access radio and c.d., while the vinyl patiently awaits my budgeting it an outlet for source into my life. It has only been a month since I purchased this Insignia boombox, so it's dubious to whether a 4 star review will hold up past a year, but so far, it works, and it's very lightweight, and charges by plug in and battery both. I did purchase insurance at a reasonable cost of an additional $10, so that if it spontaneously fails in less than 2 years, I can exchange it for another one. So for $40 I know I will -at minimum- have c.d.'s playing and radio for two years or more. The sound is good and the speakers provide the fill of my home if I desire it. Added bonus : I recommend a device like this for anyone with rambunctious pets or small children. You can put it up high out of their reach and move it quickly if need be. It's also a relief to not have to sweat the possibility of more than a $40 loss if any damage to it occurs bc of little ones--four-legged, or two! :)
