Sturdy Boombox

We have several younger children and it handles the abuse that they tend to have quite well. It also has a good laser reader for being able to read fairly scratched CD's.

The speakers are pretty small, so don’t expect hi-fi sound out of this unit. Radio works fine, without the unexplainable fades that the Sony unit had. Seems like a real physical antenna works better than using the power cord.

And it is not too expensive is a must for me, other CD players have worse off sound and granted are cheaper but you get what you pay for. Its not half bad if you are listening to your favorite rock or pop CD. And the feature of having battery operated or plug in is a bonus for me.
