Charges whether my xbox is on or off and the cord is long enough to play from my couch.

Works better than the xbox 1 version purchased previously for less $$$

I bought this item because I was tired of buying batteries for the controller. I was going to purchase the official x-box brand, however, I took a chance and I am glad I did. I have only used this charger a few times, so I cannot attest to its longevity, however, the device works exactly like my x-box charge kit did. The battery has better than expected life after a charge. I think I went for over 7 hours of play time before I had to recharge it the first time. I was very close to the console so I wasn't pushing the limits of the distance this thing can receive a signal. I must also confess, I don't play games as often as I use to. I will be following up my review after I have a few months with the device and have recharged it numerous times. I am curious to see if the longevity stays. If I had a criticism about this device it would have to be the color. I am not a fan of the green. That's a personal preference though. I would have given it 5 stars otherwise, but I am nitpicking.

This is a good product. For the price and for what its good for you can't god wrong. The battery has long life after a single charge but the fit is a little off after the cover is put on the controller after installation. Overall it still works well.

I personally like rechargeable batteries over keeping a supply of AA's. Convenient and works. No issues.
