This charger works very well. It's able to charge the battery in a reasonably short time while the controller is off. If you're playing and charging, it takes alot longer.

This is actually the 2nd one I bought, so I guess I should have known better. I had hoped that it might have been my error that caused this thing to stop working, but it's really the construction of the controller. A wire is a wire. The connection WAS tight when I first bought it, but after removing the cord several times, it started to need "some touch" to get it to stay charging. If I was using the cord while playing, it would lose connection. The problem is, the cord has a counterweight (that little black barrel) but all it does is put stress on the connection. Also, the controller as designed, if you rest it flat, will "lean" on the connection, putting stress on it and possibly bending it. So, to leave it charging, or if you have to walk away for a moment, you would have to leave the controller upside down. I have no idea what Microsoft was thinking with this design, but because of the position of the counterweight, I have to put partial blame on the cord design as well. Another controller company figured a way around this by encasing where the connection is made, and having cords plug in upside-down (wide on top) which seems to have solved this issue, but you cannot achieve that with a regular Microsoft controller. So, take this review with a grain of salt in regards to the cord itself. If you used this cord with a different device, it would be fine. But if you plan on using it as intended, it's garbage.

I bought this battery charge upgrade for my son XBox one remote control so we don't have to keep buying batteries. And if you're running low you just plug it in and keep having fun

Compare to name brand in price, it's a great deal.

So if looking just charger or batteries spend extra and get charger docks. Otherwise I use it as double for me and when I play on laptop but the micro USB charger end breaks of easy as this is my 2nd one.

Honestly buy something else. I got my fist one and for some reason it never charged the battery. Not only that it doesn’t stay in always falling out. SOO I go back thinking it was just a crappy one and purchase another.... yea well same thing happened again! Within two days. Waist of money.

No issues with this charge and play kit. It works as advertised, and is a must to avoid going through a lot of batteries.

I always like to have a back up just in case the charger goes down. I bought this as a replacement for the supplied changing cord that came with the Xbox. It was reasonably priced.

Gone is the need for batteries with this product. It will save you a great deal of money in the long run.

Purchased for my son who wanted a long cable to charge is controller. This was a better option than waiting for controllers to charge in a cradle.

Not a whole lot of magic here, it is a battery and cable and the price was right. Why overpay for the same solution with a brand logo on it??

The battery in this package dies faster than I expected. The charging works well so it is not that big of any issue. I'd probably still get it knowing what I know now.

Bought it for the battery but ended up using it to hard wire my controller wireless is nice but a wire to save batteries is not a bad thing
