    I bought two of these stands specifically due to the design which allows a large laptop to be placed (screen closed of course) underneath an external monitor without restricting the ports on either side of the laptop. I have two laptops side by side underneath two of these stands, and am very happy with the arrangement.

    I use this to stack my PS4 and Xbox ONE on my desk so I can utilize the space. The original Xbox ONE fits perfectly underneath and the PS4 slightly hangs off the back, but not much. With the perforations and open sides it allows both consoles to breathe.

    I used to have issues with my laptop overheating when I would lay in bed and watch movies, but I bought this monitor riser for just that and it has been great. It may not be it's intended purpose but it's great for it.

It can attest it absolutely never sits just keeps standing in the same place.
