Less Expensive, Shorter Shelf Life

I purchased them for a rarely used emergency flashlight so I don't know how long their shelf-life will be. The packaging has a "best before" date of Jan. 2023 which is three years out. Seems like the name brand batteries have substantially longer shelf-lives but with a commensurate increase in price. I will check the voltages every year to see if they maintain their charge while being stored in a cool, dry location. If they haven't leaked and still measure 1.5 volts, I will be satisfied. Time will tell.
