As long as he remembers to connect the controllers they are always ready for him to play his favorite games. We are happy to not have to purchase AA batteries anymore.

If you don't mind the low battery interruption, 2 AA batteries every few weeks is fine if you want to save money.

Very good so far

That being said I have been going through 2x AA batteries about every two weeks. This has solved the AA battery usage and will have soon paid for itself.
