The only problem is that the new controllers have a different size connection and will not plug in to charge. You will need to buy a new charger for the newer controllers so be aware.

The batteries seem to last a decently long time and the charger serves as a dock for the controllers. Works great, doesnt' seem to overcharge, and battery life so far is fine. Note, there is no expectation for it to work, but the charging dock does not fit a PS4 controller.

Only draw back is the awkward angle the controllers must sit in order to charge. The charge light and vibration from controller does combat this particular con and the base is stable.
