A bit too small and cleanup is a nightmare.

Owned for 1 year when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The sandwiches we made turned out well, but the size of the plate is too small for a standard slice of bread. The plates meet with a the plastic to make a seam on the edges that makes it a huge hassle to clean. Melted cheese fills the seam. If the product had been made with large enough metal plates to cover all the bread with some space for cheese overflow, it would have been fine. Unfortunately, the mess it makes and the difficulty to clean offset any convenience and we ended up getting rid of it after a few months.

Tasty but Thin

The hinged design limits how thicker sandwiches fit. The "Done" light indicator didn't function when a thicker sliced bread kept the plates from closing.

Clearance buy, works perfectly for grilled cheese!

It's so easy that I can trust the kids to make it themselves with this as well.
