The sandwiches we made turned out well, but the size of the plate is too small for a standard slice of bread. The plates meet with a the plastic to make a seam on the edges that makes it a huge hassle to clean. Melted cheese fills the seam. If the product had been made with large enough metal plates to cover all the bread with some space for cheese overflow, it would have been fine. Unfortunately, the mess it makes and the difficulty to clean offset any convenience and we ended up getting rid of it after a few months.

Gave as a gift to use for muffins for small children to eat-easy snack.

Why have a cold sandwich when you can have it hot.

This sandwich maker makes tasty sandwiches when it is sprayed with Pam. The hinged design limits how thicker sandwiches fit. The "Done" light indicator didn't function when a thicker sliced bread kept the plates from closing.

I purchased these on clearance for about $8 and it works absolutely perfect for what I need it to do...make grilled cheese for the kids. It's so easy that I can trust the kids to make it themselves with this as well.

i got this sandwich maker for chrisrmas and i love it.

She says it broke first time using it, says she put too much in it. It is still usable but it should have lasted a little longer.

Compared to all other such toasters I have used, this one flattens the bread, removing all it's sponginess and destroys the joy of eating stuffed toasts. I think it leaves very little space within the two heat plates and that squeezes the sponginess out of the bread. Do not get this.

I normally make my grilled cheese sandwiches over the stove, but makes my kitchen and house hot. Considering I live in Texas and it's the summer, I'm trying to keep the house cool. This allows me to make my sandwiches and not get the kitchen hot.
