Do not buy Insignia products.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this fridge in September of 21' and it started failing in Nov 24'. We bought a 4 year warranty with the fridge so I called GeekSquad. They arranged for a technician to come out. 24 hours later they cancelled the appointment and told me they do not do home service on this appliance. I was told to return a full size 125lb refrigerator to a store to have them deal with it there. After organizing help to load it into the back of my car, it became obvious that the fridge has a coolant leak and it went all over my garage. Frustrated I went to BestBuy and tried to talk to GeekSquad there, where they told me I was out of luck with ordering a replacement to have the leaking one picked up. I had to physically return it to the store myself. So now I'm either going to have to rent a van to return the fridge at my own cost, or have refrigerant coolant in the back of my car. So please, NEVER buy an insignia appliance, it's not worth the headache. After all of the changes to the My BestBuy rewards I think I'm done and will be cancelling TotalTech as well.

Absolutely great purchase for your money!

The size is just big enough to hold your wine and any other beverages and small enough to be set up anywhere you need it to be! Very happy with it.

Dual Wine and Beverage Cooler

The versatility with the wood racks provides us to store our a variety of cans and bottled beverages. The double glass doors and stainless steal looks custom. Great price!

Great Dual Zone Cooler

We purchased this appliance for a new kitchen and butler pantry remodel and it is perfect. The elongated handles are stylish and the interior lighting is great. The dual zone temperature controls work perfectly.

Think Again - Stopped Cooking at 1yr

But 372 days after it was purchased (mind it was a gift so we’ve only used it for about 11.5 months) it no longer works. It powers on. The fan runs. But it doesn’t cook at all. And can’t do anything about it because we are 7 days over warranty. I would think twice before spending $700+ to have something break not even a year using it.

Good Looking Bad Reliability

For the 2 years and 6 months that we owned the fridge we had no issues. The reason for the low rating, we had to scrap the fridge after this time due to a freon leak due to bad seals. We had a repairman come to fix and couldn’t due no parts available. We called Insignia and they did a great job of apologizing 10 times but to no avail, I can not recommend this product to poor reliability and not backing up there product.

Nice Unit But It Doesn't Hold Up

This dual zone cooler was quiet and looked great in our home. However, after we had owned it for a few weeks over 2 years, the unit quit cooling. This is an expensive appliance and absolutely should last longer than it did. We acquired a 2 year warranty and BB was not able to help us. This unit is significantly more expensive now than it was when we first bought it.

Do not buy

I took it to Best Buy on 5/28/24 for repair since it’s their brand. The cooler arrived at their repair center in Georgia on the morning of 6/3. By 1 pm that same day, I was informed they did not have the part to repair it because they no longer make this model, and the cooler was being shipped back to the store. I received no explanation on what the issue was or who to contact. I spoke with two store representatives, both of whom agreed that this so-called assessment was done very quickly and didn’t sound right. On 6/13/24, I called for an update on the cooler and learned it had been sitting at the store since 6/8/24. My only options now are to junk it or pick it up and get it serviced elsewhere. This cooler cost $600, and I’m extremely disappointed with Best Buy’s service and lack of communication. I expected more from a company that handles its own brand’s products.

WHAT A HORRIBLE PRODUCT AND COMPANY

Less than two years in and it stopped working. I called Best Buy, who told me to bring the 125lb appliance to the store which I did. Had an appointment. Arrived and was met with a dumbfounded look because they apparently don’t accept these in the store. After talking to the manager they wanted to charge ME to send it to their service center for diagnostic and repair. They saw that I was told to bring it in store and apparently given bad information. They eventually sent it to the service center where it appears they immediately sent it back and then called to tell me there are no parts for this device to repair. How can Best Buy have no parts for an appliance at their centralized service center? It sounds like they didn’t even try. Now I come to find that it has a one year warranty. I’m being told there is nothing best buy will do for me and that I should have bought an extended warranty. I’m supposed to know that a $750 device will break less than two years in? Let alone that Best Buy will leave its customer hanging with nothing to do? Are you kidding me? How does Best Buy expect me to want to be their customer when they won’t stand behind their products beyond one year? What a horrible customer experience and short-sighted, transactional attitude.

Would be 5 stars if not for the fact the doors have a tendency to not fully close if you aren’t careful. They will beep to let you know but it is still a pain.

VERY POOR QUALITY LASTED 1MONTH

Best Buy didn’t want to exchange or accept it back. We called the Insignia repair number and they wanted us to bring the fridge to the Best Buy store … that’s a heavy fridge, finally after we insisted they said they will send a repairman. We will let you know how this is ending but I am not optimistic..one month of semi-cold beverages for $800.
