Great Dual Zone Cooler

We purchased this appliance for a new kitchen and butler pantry remodel and it is perfect. The elongated handles are stylish and the interior lighting is great. The dual zone temperature controls work perfectly.

Think Again - Stopped Cooking at 1yr

But 372 days after it was purchased (mind it was a gift so we’ve only used it for about 11.5 months) it no longer works. It powers on. The fan runs. But it doesn’t cook at all. And can’t do anything about it because we are 7 days over warranty. I would think twice before spending $700+ to have something break not even a year using it.

Good Looking Bad Reliability
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We bought the Wine Fridge new in Feb 2021, the look of the fridge was what we wanted and were initially very happy. For the 2 years and 6 months that we owned the fridge we had no issues. The reason for the low rating, we had to scrap the fridge after this time due to a freon leak due to bad seals. We had a repairman come to fix and couldn’t due no parts available. We called Insignia and they did a great job of apologizing 10 times but to no avail, I can not recommend this product to poor reliability and not backing up there product.

Nice Unit But It Doesn't Hold Up

This dual zone cooler was quiet and looked great in our home. However, after we had owned it for a few weeks over 2 years, the unit quit cooling. This is an expensive appliance and absolutely should last longer than it did. We acquired a 2 year warranty and BB was not able to help us. This unit is significantly more expensive now than it was when we first bought it.

Do not buy

I took it to Best Buy on 5/28/24 for repair since it’s their brand. The cooler arrived at their repair center in Georgia on the morning of 6/3. By 1 pm that same day, I was informed they did not have the part to repair it because they no longer make this model, and the cooler was being shipped back to the store. I received no explanation on what the issue was or who to contact. I spoke with two store representatives, both of whom agreed that this so-called assessment was done very quickly and didn’t sound right. On 6/13/24, I called for an update on the cooler and learned it had been sitting at the store since 6/8/24. My only options now are to junk it or pick it up and get it serviced elsewhere. This cooler cost $600, and I’m extremely disappointed with Best Buy’s service and lack of communication. I expected more from a company that handles its own brand’s products.

WHAT A HORRIBLE PRODUCT AND COMPANY

Less than two years in and it stopped working. I called Best Buy, who told me to bring the 125lb appliance to the store which I did. Had an appointment. Arrived and was met with a dumbfounded look because they apparently don’t accept these in the store. After talking to the manager they wanted to charge ME to send it to their service center for diagnostic and repair. They saw that I was told to bring it in store and apparently given bad information. They eventually sent it to the service center where it appears they immediately sent it back and then called to tell me there are no parts for this device to repair. How can Best Buy have no parts for an appliance at their centralized service center? It sounds like they didn’t even try. Now I come to find that it has a one year warranty. I’m being told there is nothing best buy will do for me and that I should have bought an extended warranty. I’m supposed to know that a $750 device will break less than two years in? Let alone that Best Buy will leave its customer hanging with nothing to do? Are you kidding me? How does Best Buy expect me to want to be their customer when they won’t stand behind their products beyond one year? What a horrible customer experience and short-sighted, transactional attitude.

Excellent fridge with 1 notable flaw

Would be 5 stars if not for the fact the doors have a tendency to not fully close if you aren’t careful. They will beep to let you know but it is still a pain.

VERY POOR QUALITY LASTED 1MONTH

Best Buy didn’t want to exchange or accept it back. We called the Insignia repair number and they wanted us to bring the fridge to the Best Buy store … that’s a heavy fridge, finally after we insisted they said they will send a repairman. We will let you know how this is ending but I am not optimistic..one month of semi-cold beverages for $800.

AVOID This Nightmare
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.AVOID AVOID AVOID This over $600 beverage "cooler" lasted JUST over 1 year, then it stopped cooling all together. Nobody will fix it, no appliance repair or Best Buy will even TOUCH IT. Parts are completely unavailable for repair. I should've known; when I first purchased it, the right side wouldn't get as cool as the left side (Notice I am saying "cool" and not "Cold" because it never actually got anything Cold despite turning it down to the very minimum) and I should've returned it IMMEDIATELY. Finally a week ago it stopped cooling all together. Naturally, right past the 1 year warranty period ((rolling my eyes)) OF COURSE. Some takeaways: When it did run, it was very very noisy, making loud buzzing noises and BOING BOING noises constantly. I called Best Buy and they said it was normal. Red Flag #2, another opportunity I should've returned it, but they assured me it was OK. DO NOT LISTEN TO THEM. Do not buy this fridge. Believe all the 1 and 2 star reviews, they aren't fiction. I went out and had to buy ANOTHER bar fridge for another $600 but this time I picked a reputable NAME BRAND and bought the 5 year extended warranty. Again, I cannot say it enough AVOID AVOID AVOID

Compressor went out after a little over a year!!!!

Compressor went out, we were so disappointed because loved this dual fridge cooler!!! Get the warranty please!!!!!!!!! We usually do not have issues with appliances, this was the exception. We noticed it wasn’t blowing cold air. Everything else was working but found out it was the compressor, not worth fixing.

At the time there were delayed shipping issues because of "supply chain disruptions" if you all remember that fiasco. Fortunately, our remodel wasn't complete until October 2022 which is when the unit was unboxed and installed. Fast forward to January 2025, and the unit stopped cooling. Since I am a Best Buy Total Rewards customer, the unit is thankfully covered under the Geek Squad warranty program. We were told to bring the unit into our local store. Loading the unit into our vehicle was a bit of a challenge but we got it done. They are now sending the unit somewhere to determine the next step. It appears that it will be a store credit if they can not repair. It wasn't until today that I went in and read the reviews on this product. It seems that MANY customers have had the same issue in the same or similar time frame. The unit is really good looking and I liked the fact that I could store our white wine separate from the red, but I don't think I'll be using the store credit to buy the same product.

Beverage cooler poorly built

Went to check it out I The cooler was smoking and had a really strong rubber burnt smell. Do not recommend this product. After reading reviews noticed others also mentioned that cooler stopped working right after warranty expired.
