Purchased this unit while in the process of a kitchen remodel in June 2022. At the time there were delayed shipping issues because of "supply chain disruptions" if you all remember that fiasco. Fortunately, our remodel wasn't complete until October 2022 which is when the unit was unboxed and installed. Fast forward to January 2025, and the unit stopped cooling. Since I am a Best Buy Total Rewards customer, the unit is thankfully covered under the Geek Squad warranty program. We were told to bring the unit into our local store. Loading the unit into our vehicle was a bit of a challenge but we got it done. They are now sending the unit somewhere to determine the next step. It appears that it will be a store credit if they can not repair. It wasn't until today that I went in and read the reviews on this product. It seems that MANY customers have had the same issue in the same or similar time frame. The unit is really good looking and I liked the fact that I could store our white wine separate from the red, but I don't think I'll be using the store credit to buy the same product.

This over $600 beverage "cooler" lasted JUST over 1 year, then it stopped cooling all together. Nobody will fix it, no appliance repair or Best Buy will even TOUCH IT. Parts are completely unavailable for repair. I should've known; when I first purchased it, the right side wouldn't get as cool as the left side (Notice I am saying "cool" and not "Cold" because it never actually got anything Cold despite turning it down to the very minimum) and I should've returned it IMMEDIATELY. Finally a week ago it stopped cooling all together. Naturally, right past the 1 year warranty period ((rolling my eyes)) OF COURSE.
Some takeaways: When it did run, it was very very noisy, making loud buzzing noises and BOING BOING noises constantly. I called Best Buy and they said it was normal. Red Flag #2, another opportunity I should've returned it, but they assured me it was OK. DO NOT LISTEN TO THEM. Do not buy this fridge. Believe all the 1 and 2 star reviews, they aren't fiction. I went out and had to buy ANOTHER bar fridge for another $600 but this time I picked a reputable NAME BRAND and bought the 5 year extended warranty. Again, I cannot say it enough AVOID AVOID AVOID

Only lasted a year a 2 months!!!! Compressor went out, we were so disappointed because loved this dual fridge cooler!!! Get the warranty please!!!!!!!!! We usually do not have issues with appliances, this was the exception. We noticed it wasn’t blowing cold air. Everything else was working but found out it was the compressor, not worth fixing.

Woke up one morning (right when the warranty expired) smelled something burning coming from the cooler. Went to check it out I
The cooler was smoking and had a really strong rubber burnt smell. Do not recommend this product. After reading reviews noticed others also mentioned that cooler stopped working right after warranty expired.

We Love It! It would be perfect if about 1 inch wider in the interior so 3 bottles would fit easier and 1/4 inch more space between shelves as some wine bottles are thicker than others.

It is a great refrigerator when it’s working. The dual climate zones in the space is nice as well as the child lock. Unfortunately, after two years, it just stopped keeping things cold. If you want something that’ll last for more than a few years by a different brand.

Exactly as described, item quality exceeds expectations. Would highly recommend. Kids have all their drinks on one side, mom/dad have adult beverages on the other, can lock one/both fridge doors with lock located at the bottom or doors.

Fifteen months after buying this, it stopped cooling. We hired an appliance repair man to work on it. He determined that the PC board is the problem. Unfortunately, he cannot find a replacement board, so now we get to pay $35 to leave the fridge at the dump, in addition to wasting the initial $700. Ultra poor quality. If you feel you need to buy this, you better get an extended warranty.

Temperature doesn’t go down. Beeps with HI error code. Tried everything. Nope…3 years and all of these on a $800 cooler. Now they say it could be the sealant…and that might cost 800-1000. Thanks Insignia for giving a worst product. Your hot line is also a joke. A worthless cooler that can’t even be traded!

Insignia Dual Zone Wine and Beverage Cooler gave out in less than two years. Absolutely no recourse. Best Buy will not stand by it. It was $700 and lasted less than 2 years.

After 2 years, the beverage cooler stopped cooling as mentioned in many of these reviews.
After spending $200 for an appliance repair person to evaluate the issue, it was determined that the compressor had a leak. Insignia is foreign made and does not use Freon. Instead it’s propane. The worse product to use for cooling. The product will cost more to fix it and cheaper to replace. I payed $859 plus tax for this product and it stopped working on 2 years.
I will not buy another Best Buy product. Insignia is their brand. Pure junk.

This cooler may seem great at the beginning, but just like others, I didn't listen to the 1 star reviews. It no longer cools after the warranty ran out. Best Buy won't do anything. As in, they won't fix any compressor-related issues. What else could go wrong with a fridge???
DO NOT BUY! Best Buy doesn't stand behind this dud. There are no replacement parts. This is a $700 paperweight that I now have to toss in the dumpster after less than 3 years.
I think this officially ends my relationship with Best Buy. I've been a loyal customer, but if they can't stand behind their products then why should I? Don't EVER buy anything Insignia, it's a trap and they just want your money. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Stay away. This is my 3rd product (the first 2 were broken or broke within 30 days). This one lasted for just less than 2 years and stopped producing cold air - just runs with a fan. Customer service says I'm out of luck as is more than 1 year old - stay away from these Insignia products - I learned a great lesson...you get what you pay for obviously.
