It elevates the laptop screen to make working with an extra monitor easier. It adjusts to the height you need easily and is sturdy. It also makes the angle for showing yourself on video conference calls better. You definitely need to get a separate keyboard and mouse to use this comfortably.

(Works by simply applying enough pressure until it’s at the angles you want.) BUT, the laptop sits crooked (slants downward on the left side). It’s not awful, but it’s enough that people on conference calls could notice. Fixing by putting paper under the left side. Expected more for a $30 laptop stand.

This is not the laptop stand that you throw in you hand crafted burlap backpack and schlep to the artisinal coffee shop to work on your blog. This is more, set it up make adjustments here and there and pound away at it.
