    I was concerned about the way that it attaches to the flash, It has rubberized grippers inside the 4 flaps that surround the head of the flash and a very strong elastic velcro wrap that goes around and cinches it down. Can not say how many stops of light that you lose, but it is pretty opaque. I wrap the flash emitter with a piece of white lens wipe material to further diffuse the light, the flash does blast straight at the front white panel and still comes out strong, adding that second layer of diffusion makes it usable. Downside is that the ribs that hold the shape if the unit are pretty weak, wire or stiffer plastic would have been better. I describe it as "floppy". Way better than shooting your flash straight at something though.

    Completely unuseable. Will not remain open once unfolded. Manufacturer appears to have underestimated the permanance of the folds when sitting for a long while. Steer clear of this one.

    Product needs to be re-designed with ribs, stiffners or a metal or plastic frame to hold it open. The constant collapsing and folding blocks the light wasting your flash output.

    I don't know how this sells, never mind gets positive reviews. Do people know what soft shadows means? This product was designed to do literally one thing and it failed. As is the case with most attachable flash diffusers, it did not work at all. All the shadows were still very harsh, even when I used 1/3 power to the flash. I will be returning it later today. Do yourself a favor and just bounce your flash off the ceiling or wall or spend a little more money on a real umbrella flash kit. Cheap work-arounds such as this product are a waste of time and money
