Bought it primarily to watch movies on my laptop since the laptop speakers are not loud enough. Good sound quality for its size. Like how the speakers are held together by the magnets for storage.

If you're going to crank up your tunes, these aren't for you. Perfect for that little extra audio that your laptop lacks. Just the right amount of sound for the price. Excellent portability. Easy to pack up and go with your laptop. I love mine.

To Teddybearsal from New York, the reviewer below me who said these speakers don't stand up on their own. The speakers actually DO stand up, however, the audio cable which plugs into each speaker is what provides the third foot. It's actually a very elegant and simple design. In fact, the cables can only plug in one way, so I don't even understand how you've managed to have this problem. Please read the instructions next time and you'll have no issues. Aside from that, the speakers work very well, are very light, and very portable. Using the included carrying pouch, the pack down very tight, and it's nice how the speakers connect together for transport.

I read all the reviews before purchasing the speakers. I figured the worst that could happen is that I might have to return them. Well, I just picked up my new speakers and installed them without even reading the instructions. I did read the instructions when only one speaker had sound. Just unplugged the speakers and switched the L/R cords going into the speakers and beautiful sound from both speakers!The speakers stood up easily with the support of the cables going into the back of the speakers. The sound from the speakers is a major improvement over the speakers on my laptop. I am playing them at 34% with my Bose system playing in the background and the sound from my laptop is crisp and clear. I love the way the speakers fit together with the magnets for storage in the bag that comes with them. They just snap together when aligned correctly. I haven't tried the battery box yet but who needs it at this point! I agree with the other reviewers that the USB cord needs to be longer. I ran the cord under my laptop to the headphone jack. I'm very happy with my purchase. Can't wait to try them with my IPod.

A compact and lightweight set of portable speakers that I bought to go with my iPod when away on my Spring Break holiday so me and my mates could share some tunes while chilling by the pool. Great value for money.

Great portability, very thin-easy to pack in computer case. USB powered. Excellent sound quality for size and usb powered. Everyone sitting around the laptop are easily able to hear the sound. Great price.

USB powered speakers work great for a computer that doesn't have built in speakers and that you want to have speakers on this computer. Initially it had feedback but this went away after initial use. Great high volume. Has magnets that allow you to store them facing each other so the cones are protected. The cables are detachable for storage in the included carrying case. The cables could be a tad bit longer but other than that, they're great!

bought these for my dad for Christmas. he loves them. they are perfect size and portable. plus they come with a case and they are magnetic to the stands. great product & quality & PRICE!

They are portable and easy to use, but you not only have to plug them into the USB port, but also the headphone jack in order to get the sound. The USB plug is for power only.

The two speakers stick magnetically together for transportaion. Amazing sound for their size and cost. Volume isn't very high (but adequate) and heavy on batteries though.

I'm not an audiophile but these tiny speakers put out nice quality sound and are small enough to fit anywhere.

I bought an Acer netbook I like quite a bit, but the sound is almost inaudible. These speakers solve the problem nicely. They can be powered from a USB port or a battery pack that comes with them. Portability and battery life is the big appeal of a netbook, so it's best to use the little battery pack (4 AAAs) for the speakers so as to get the longest battery life for the computer.

I just hooked the speakers up about 5 minutes ago and I already love them!!! They are 10X better than my speakers built in my laptop. I can actually hear what people are saying online. For the price that I paid they are excellent, I dont think that they will be breaking any glass or anything but I would recommend them.

I just purchased a netbook (mini notebook computer) and the speakers are not the greatest. Some websites with audio I could hear clearly, but others, just barely. I found these on the Bestbuy website but went to one of their locations to purchase. I am very happy with these. In fact, I had to turn the volume down in order to listen to the audio on a website that I pulled up.

These are great speakers for the price. Just what you need if you want to increase the volume of your laptop. These are not what you want if you want top quality sound for music. But for basic volume, they're great!

They are small, flat, light, and so easily fit anywhere! They are even magnetic!

These speakers are great for travel. They play much louder than my Macbook and the audio quality is good. I like the style but wish they were sold in silver color too to match the Mac. I've bought two more sets for some guys in the office who saw mine and wanted some too! I recommend this product

These look very hi-tech, almost look like solar panels. They dont look like speakers at all. Keep in mind they power only with USB. For all the people who say they dont stand up on their own, they are crazy. They stand up fine if the cable is used properly. Very good sound and nice look for the money. Dont hesitate to buy them im VERY happy with them.

These little speakers are slim and the very light weight. The speaker connectors are actually the stands for these little guy's. I love mine ... The only draw back i see and this shouldn't be an issue if you use a heavy duty battery or the hi power ones then the sound will be great. if not it will be tinny.. Jacque126
