A little bit under engineered. Otherwise seems to be a good product.

Good mount for large and heavy TVs
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is a pretty solid mount, and nice that it has full motion: twist, pivot, extension, and tilt. Instructions are clear and it mounts pretty easily if you've done even basic carpentry/construction or used a mount in the past. A mount template is included in the box and makes it easy to mark your wall where you need to drill holes for the bolts. Adjustability is good, and it's nice to see attention to the little details, like tiny adjustment screws to get the TV perfectly level on the mount after hanging it. Two minor downsides in the design. The cable routing clamps may not be big enough for everything you need. If you only have two or three cables, they're fine. You can route cables on both sides of the scissor joint. But it might be tight to squeeze in 3-4 HDMI cables, the TV power cable, and a network cable. The tilting angle lock could also be a little more positive. With particularly large and heavy TV, you really need to crank it down so the panel doesn't droop over time. As for whether I would recommend this mount to others is a tricky question. As a wall mount itself, there's nothing particularly wrong with it. However, Best Buy has another full-motion wall mount, under the BestBuy Essentials line, that's half the price. That BBE mount is only a little smaller, rated up to an 84" display and 110 lbs with 18" reach away from the wall, opposed to the 90",120 lbs, and 22" reach of this one. So unless you really need that extra 10lbs rating, or the extra 4" reach away from the wall, you'd probably be better served with the less expensive mount.

|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Review for Insignia Full Motion Large TV Mount So many newer TVs come with sub-bar options for standing them on a table - the feet are often so far apart you need a TV stand almost as big as the TV itself. Our new TV is not even as big as some (54”) and yet it won’t sit on our existing TV table. That’s when I went looking for a better solution. I found it in this Insignia TV mount. I didn’t want a basic mount that allowed for no range of motion, due to the set up of our living room. The arrangement is great for socializing, but not so great if everyone wants to watch a movie or a show. This mount lets me swivel the TV left and right and to a lesser degree, up and down. I can also pull it away from the wall to make it easier to watch for our furniture arrangement. When we’re done watching, it’s simple to push it back flush against the wall. The mount itself is very sturdy and well-made. It was simple to attach to the wall with a few screws and also simple to attach to the TV with the multiple VESA options included. I would suggest that you plan the height you would like carefully, since it’s easy to think you want the TV higher than is comfortable for viewing. I blame the dumb trend of putting TVs over a fireplace. Nobody wants to crane their neck that much to watch a show. If you’re older, and have bifocals or progressive lenses, a TV mounted too high is often blurry due to your head tilt.
