    Great full-size keyboard

This is what keyboards should aspire to be. Full size with number pad, no dongle and a super simple Bluetooth connection. It comes with 2 AAA batteries. Install them and turn the keyboard on. My computer immediately detected the device and prompted for a connection. One minute to install batteries and connect – super easy. The scissor keys are pretty quiet and responsive. No lag time was detected on any connection. Key spacing is great. There is also hot key functionality. I also tested 15 feet away from my device and it still worked fine. Just for fun, as I won’t ever use it that far away. The number keypad is always a must for me and this is perfect. The full-size keys make it easy to quickly enter numbers. Nicely positioned too. The Bluetooth connection worked fine on multiple devices and there is no dongle to lose. And it connects to multiple platforms including Windows, iOS and Android. Great keyboard for a fair price. I also dropped the keyboard and it still works fine. That hasn’t always been the case as I am such a klutz.

For <$40, this works pretty good! ***Build Quality:*** As I type this from my new keyboard from Insignia, the design of the keys is one of clear feel: the lettering sticks out. The keys are more textured than most other keyboards and the shape is slightly concave - possibly a little too slight for some. Build quality is reasonable (if not “fitting”), considering the price. The scissor-style keys result in a little wobble when “hovering” over them, and the thin-ness of the materials causes flex when using from a lap. Firm presses seem to reveal under-key flex as well. ***Comfort:*** The keys press a little more firmly than I’m comfortable with. The “bezel” is super small and bends down away from the palm. This caused a few typing errors (accidentally pressing (Ctrl) while using it on my lap, but I had no such issue on my desk. As I’m primarily going to use this for the couch PC, I will be accidentally pressing that a lot. The firmness required to press the keys did result in a few missed strokes, but I’m confident some will like that you must be intentional. Others may never get used to it and relegate this to “sometimes” or “spare PC” keyboard duties. ***Connectivity:*** It’s Bluetooth 5.0 and 3.0 compatible, so you’re set even with an older device. Pairing was quick from my PC, and quick enough from my S23 Ultra. ***Layout:*** The layout of the navigation keys is interesting; I like where “End” is placed - immediately next to the arrow keys, though the compactness of the keys does leave me accidentally pressing it instead of the arrows. “Home” isn’t close to “End”, for some reason - instead “Page Up” and “Page Down” are in between. YOU CAN, however, swap the key caps and do some custom mapping: the square keys detach by pulling from the bottom. The slim rectangular keys at the top detach by pulling from a right-hand corner (either top or bottom). Once you have the keys where you like, just install something like PowerToys to customize your mappings. I ended up placing “Home” next to “End” and “Delete” next to “Print Screen” - both above “Backspace”, as is familiar for me to find because of my laptop’s keyboard. ***Performance:*** Speaking of a laptop, the size is like a 15”. This may cause errors for those used to a typical (larger) desktop keyboard. Unfortunately, like many laptop keyboards, this defaults to the F keys being media buttons instead of regular functions, and there’s no lock to toggle back to standard (F4 actually equals F4) behavior. Unlike most laptop keyboards, you don’t get a backlight. The numpad is good; fingers find their correct spots quickly - AND NumLock stays on even after a restart. Excellent. The little indicator light goes off after a few seconds of inactivity, but comes on and stays on during typing. This could be seen as waste of batteries/minorly annoying. You won’t likely notice unless typing in the dark - in which case, you’re a wizard, Harry, and aren’t looking at the keyboard anyway. The included AAA’s can be swapped to rechargeables when the batteries go dead. ***Conclusion:*** The keys don’t light up and the finish is basic, but the price is right. The weight is right for the material choice, but that choice means it’s fairly flexy. I could easily customize the layout and NUMLOCK STAYS ON - so I give it 5 stars. I certainly can recommend it - especially to those who are going to use it from a desk (like a normal human).

Perfect little full keyboard – without USB Dongle!

I am extremely happy and pleased with this keyboard as it checks all the boxes I need! Size: For a FULL keyboard this is extremely compact. I have left a couple pictures for you to compare for yourself. Crucially my keyboard drawer is kind of small and couldn’t fit a regular full-size keyboard and a mouse together. This keyboard comes at a perfect size to comfortably fit together with a mouse. Connectivity: This Bluetooth keyboard doesn’t need a USB dongle / receiver to connect to the laptop or any device. Nowadays the USB ports on laptops are so scarce, this critically frees up one. (In my case, it eliminated the need to connect a USB HUB as I need the port to connect a USB supported Bluetooth headset for calls). This uses Bluetooth 5.0 to connect directly to the laptop (or any device) and no concerns about losing the USB dongle or forgetting it. There is no lag, and the keypress response is instantaneous. Pairing & Setup: The whole setup process was a breeze. Just place the batteries and switch on. Laptop automatically detected the keyboard and prompted to connect. And that’s it. As easy as that! To connect to a different device, just long press the Bluetooth button and pair it with the desired one. Look and Feel: This is really compact for a full-size keyboard with a dedicated Numpad. The keys are scissors keys. The keys are soft and quiet - only as loud as my laptop keyboard. They keys are well sized and laid out well spaced and I didn’t mistype any keys yet. I mean, adjusting to this keyboard was very easy. This also comes with the volume keys, pause and play and brightness keys (to operate with Function key) Summary: Overall, this is a perfectly sized compact full keyboard most importantly without a USB Dongle, freeing up the USB port.

The Bluetooth-enabled Insignia Full-size Scissor Switch Keyboard worked seamlessly with my old Android projector, while other more expensive branded products did not. I would highly recommend the device to anyone looking for a capable keyboard that delivers on its promises.

Simple and easy install bluetooth keyboard

The Insignia bluetooth keyboard is a nice little keyboard. It is low profile which is why it uses scissor switches. This is common for low profile keyboards. Microsoft Windows 11 Professional detects it with no problems. No drivers are needed. In the bluetooth section for Windows settings, it displays how much battery is left. The area that holds the battery angles the keyboard up for better ergonomics. It is comfortable to type on so far. I have been using an 84 key keyboard and it is smaller and more compact. But it does not have a numpad. Since typing on this keyboard, I did not realize how often I use the keypad. I do like more compact keyboards but at the expense of not having the numpad. Being it is wireless, I can keep it around as a secondary keyboard and switch to it when working with documents that use numbers. I mainly would need it when working with Excel spreadsheets. One adjustment I need to make is to get used to the FN key, as on this keyboard it is on the bottom left. My previous keyboard has it on the bottom right. It is I nice wireless bluetooth keyboard.

I'm using this keyboard with my MacBook Pro. I wish it had Mac key labeling in addition to the standard Windows keys. Of course I knew from the pictures that it didn't before i bought it, so I'm not taking off a star for that. The keyboard is a decent size, and the Bluetooth function works perfectly. I haven't had it disconnect during use at all. The keys have a sponginess that i don't like so much, but they work fine. Another issue is the delay. When the keyboard hasn't been used for a little bit, it goes into a standby mode until a key is pressed. Then there is a delay of a couple seconds before the key press is registered on the computer. It's an annoyance, but for the price, it's fine.

Nice keyboard for the price. Nice full size layout with numeric keypad. I liked it for the dedicated function keys as primary. Be advised, this is not a multi-device keyboard where you can press a key and switch. You can only be connected to one device. To switch to another device, you must pair it again.

So far, so good! The Bluetooth feature is great and I really like the sleek design. However, I have noticed that the keyboard requires manual reconnection whenever there are changes in devices. In other words, it does not reconnect automatically to multiple devices.

I Needed a compact keyboard with a 10-key for my office and this one had the best reviews online. Hoping my experience continues to be positive. Although it requires batteries, you can also turn it off when but in use for long periods of time and I also notice that it goes into a sleep mode when not actively using so that should help the batteries last. 4 stars because I've only used it a week
