So Good I'm Buying Another One!

I'm in the process of setting up a new workspace in my house and I needed a second ergonomic keyboard. My current one was paid for by the company I work for, but I was paying for it this time, so I was looking for more affordable options. I had my doubts when I saw this one at such a low price point, but Best Buy has a great return policy, so I figured there was nothing to lose. Guess what? I love this one so much, I'm stuffing my original keyboard in a drawer and buying another one of these! The slightly lowered keys and gentler tap sounds are super comforting, especially to someone like me who spends a lot of time typing.

This isn’t my first time using this type of keyboard. Growing up we had one on our home computer and I absolutely hated it. After 20 plus years and learning how to actually type, I now love this type of keyboard. If you have to look at the keys to see what you’re typing this might not be a good keyboard for you. If you are able to type with without looking at the keys this keyboard is awesome. My hands do not get fatigued while typing on this keyboard. It is very well laid out and I don’t have to move my hands to reach higher up keys. It also includes a very nice palm rest. I’m currently using this keyboard with my tablet just to get use to it. I do plan to take this to work and use on my compute their as its so much nicer than the keyboard my computer has now. It did take me about a day to get use to typing as I’m use to just a flat regular keyboard. It also nice that it’s wireless so no cable to get in the way and keyboard does have a storage spot for the nano receiver. Overall I really like this keyboard and it’s much more comfortable than a regular keyboard.

    Good keyboard, comfortable design!

This is the first keyboard with this layout that I have tried and I personally like it, although getting used to the way the keys are arranged after years of using the conventional layout takes a little bit of time. In the box comes the keyboard, a couple of AA batteries, a USB dongle (2.4GHz) and some documentation. To start using the keyboard you only need to insert the two AA batteries and connect the adapter to the computer, there is no need to download any app. The keyboard is a membrane keyboard but it responds quite well, the keys feel good when pressed and do not feel loose as in some cheap keyboards. The keyboard can be rise a little more if necessary, both ways are comfortable although it is also important to mention that the way in which we sit and at what height we are with respect to our desks, are factors to take into consideration. Regarding the design it is clear that it is made so that the hands remain in a certain position that allows you to rest your hands and get less tired, especially if used the keyboard for long periods constantly, likewise this design allows you to reach all the keys more easily and I consider this one of the most important things as it allows us to write faster with the least amount of errors possible, of course it will also depend on the skill of each person and the style of typing. The keyboard also has very useful shortcuts and LED indicators that let you know if the capital letters are on, if the numeric keypad is locked or if the batteries are about to run out. One of the things that are not entirely my favorite is the material with which the keyboard is made, despite being a plastic that seems to be resistant, it feels very plastic as if it needed a little more detail, almost as if it were a prototype in its final stages, however this does not detract from its performance is very good and the ergonomic design is very helpful, at least in my experience of many years typing on regular keyboards, it has been a pleasant and interesting experience. In conclusion, this Insignia Full-Size Wireless Ergonomic keyboard fulfills its purpose correctly, its design makes it more comfortable to type for long periods without feeling tired hands or wrists, if you have used conventional keyboards for a long time and want to try an interesting design that provides greater comfort, this keyboard is a good choice, I can recommend it.

Insignia Wireless Ergonomic Keyboard - Wonderful!

The Insignia full size wireless curved split keyboard arrived and I was very pleased. I have used these ergonomic style keyboards for years and I love them. It works with Windows 10-11, Mac OS and Chrome OS, possibly other earlier computers but I didn't test as all mine are newer. It was simple enough to set up as it included a 2.4 encrypted USB NANO receiver for wireless, Quick Start Guide and two AA batteries. It has the full size keyboard with number pad on the right and 7 multimedia keys to access audio functions. There are 2 feet that flip in or out on the bottom if you want the keyboard to sit at a different angle. I like a flat position so didn't leave them out. One great thing Insignia did on the bottom as well is put 6 good-sized non-slip rubber pieces so the keyboard stays exactly where you put it instead of sliding around. I have used other brands where it was quite irritating as they kept shifting. When I started using the keyboard, after placing in the 2 batteries, my iMac didn't recognize it and so I had to use the set up assistant. I needed to hit the Z button next to the Shift key on the left side. Then I would get the next screen, choose its type and everything was fine. The only thing is I have to do this every single time I sign on. I don't turn my computer off as I just put it to sleep at night but when I go to use it the next day I have to set the keyboard up all over again. This has never stopped. Now it could be a setting on my iMac that I need to locate so that is why I still rated this at 5 stars. As far as typing on it the keyboard is very quiet and so comfortable. No annoying loud clicks and I love the way the keys feel. To me they are perfect. The size fits just right in the area I have allotted for my keyboard too. Other than it not being recognized I have had virtually no issues and all the functions work flawlessly. The white lettering on black is nice, bright and easy to read. I am thoroughly enjoying this keyboard and its style immensely. I would definitely buy one of these again, if needed, and I can recommend its purchase without hesitation. I am so happy Insignia chose to make this style keyboard and make it right. If you use an ergonomic keyboard don't hesitate to get one. It's awesome!

The Insignia Full Size Wireless Ergonomic Membrane Keyboard comes with a mini instructions in English and Spanish. Two batteries are needed for the keyboard to work. Tested the keyboard utilizing my labtop. Plugged in the usb and within about a minute was able to start using the keyboard. The keyboard is curved which allowed my hands to rest easy. It took a few minutes for me to get use to this type of keyboard, but found it comfortable and easy to type. The keyboard was able to keep up with my fast typing speed. I type approximately 90 to 100 words per minute. I was able to surf the internet, typed email correspondence, and was able to type in the documents I was working on easy. Features of this keyboard include buttons that allow for quick navigation to listen to music, turn up an down volume, search the web, check email, make calculations with the caculator button, and so much more. Pros: Wireless Can use on Computer, Labtop, Television Screen, Very quick setup Comfortability Keys were big enough for my hands Cons: None at this time.

Keyboard is comfortable to use, however the function keys are too close to the alphanumeric keys. When typing and attempting to backspace I press F12 by accident (majority of the time) where it opens up the saved file folders, which is annoying. Other than that it is a food comfortable keyboard to use.

Love it i constantly type for work and this was starting to hurt my hands. Previously I had an ergonomic keyboard at my last job and that’s why I got this one for my current job it definitely takes skill to use and it’s a learning curve unless you have had one before.

So after being WFH for many years I had to go back in office & wanted an ergo keyboard. I figured I would go through BB since their expertise is all things electronic. In this instance I wish I’d gone through Amazon. I had to use the keyboard for awhile prior to seeing if it would truly work but unfortunately I am unable to return it now since it’s past the 17 day window. The keys stick A LOT. I find myself several times throughout the day frustrated that I’m typing yet nothing is reflected. I haven’t figured out yet if it’s certain keys or not but it’s unfortunate that this is a consistent product I am now stuck with. Definitely would NOT recommend

Shocked! - Great Keyboard for the Money

it's not bad at all! I half expected a cheap plastic feel, however this turned out to be a very nice keyboard. It is weighted so it won't slide around on your desk, It feels well made, the membrane has great action and feels just right. I can type for hours on this keyboard. Why not 5 stars? two things kept it from being top notch, one is there is no dedicated power switch, so if you are like me and you switch keyboards during the workday, you have to remove the battery to keep it from accidentally triggering if you bump into a key. The other is the lack of front legs to prop up the position of the keyboard. I have several ergonomic keyboards and they all have front and rear legs to lift or tilt the keyboard this one only has them on the front edge. Not a deal breaker but something to be aware of.

    Deteriorates Over Time

I waited to share my review because I wanted to see if this keyboard would last a year. Nope. Not even an entire year! I chose this keyboard after extensive research and reading reviews. The price was right and it seems like a good option. It was very easy to set up and I loved the size. My hands fit comfortably. I was excited! Until I started typing. At first, it wasn't too bad. I noticed that my S key liked to stick a bit. Over time, several more keys became sticky and hard to press. Also, the clacking sound of the keys drives me insane. About a month ago, my hands actually started HURTING using this keyboard because I had to press so hard to make some of my keys go down and work properly. I also hated the noise of the clackety-clack. I know some folks like that but, I don't. All in all, it started out okay and got worse over time after use. I'm glad I waited this long to do my review. I ended up ordering a different keyboard, a different brand, from Amazon, which I hope will be a better fit for my needs. This one? Nope. Too much with the sticking keys and noise. It defeated the purpose of having an ergo keyboard since my wrist and fingers were starting to hurt while using it.

I'm giving it 5 stars mainly because of price. I got it for a Deal of the Day for almost half off and had a GC to cover the other. It reminds me of an old Microsoft keyboard that I used up a long time ago and never found anything that seemed like it. This is close, but not quite. Love the key 'pecking' response but the feel can be a bit janky. Hard to describe not finding the sweet spot, but that said I have to admit that I am typing this review with this keyboard and think the performance is great. So overall, I recommend for my out of pocket which was about $50 from gift cards and cash. I might shop around if not getting this thing when not on sale at $100. I would take the cash to try and find similar but also with some kind of back lighting for the keyboard. Again, not a hit on performance for this keyboard but jut offering something I've considered with my use. Overall, happy and recommend.

I was looking for something to replace my trusty Microsoft ergonomic keyboard. The prices have drastically increased since I paid $30 for my last one. I went with one because of the cost, I didn't want to drop $90 on a keyboard. The keys are much less sensitive and require more pressure to work. It does the job. Easy to connect and works with my computer as intended.

The layout is fine but performance is spotty. I am not sure if it is due to the wireless aspect or something structural. I need to punch each key like I used to have to do with a manual typewriter and still the letters are not always entered. While wireless is great to avoid clutter and not require an extension cord for the sake of 2 inches but often the signal does not get sent.
