It does not fit a iPad 9 like i was told it did. And it didn’t look like it went to any ipad

Installed and within hours edges started peeling off.

I got to check out this Insignia screen protector I installed on my 10th generation 10.9” iPad, and I have to say, it’s been a great addition. The installation process was straightforward, thanks to the detailed instructions and included accessories. I had no issues getting it aligned perfectly on the first try, which is always a relief with these things. One of my main concerns was how it would feel when using my Apple Pencil, but the screen protector feels just like the normal glass screen. The touch sensitivity is precise, and there’s no noticeable difference in responsiveness, which was really important to me. The glass maintains the clarity of the display as expected, so the overall experience is just as good as without a protector. It is made from “ultra-scratch-resistant glass” with a 9H hardness rating, which gives me good peace of mind. The 0.33 mm thinness also ensures that it doesn’t add any bulk to the screen, and it has edge-to-edge coverage for full protection. Its also nice that it has multiple iPads that this fits on to make a more budget conscious option thats still high quality as all things insignia go, another home run that delivers exactly what it promises.

This Insignia glass screen protector does what it’s supposed to - protecting the screen of my beloved iPad from breakage in case of fall. I got this for this purpose since I know the iPad screen is already scratch resistant. With that said, the installation is straight forward. It includes all the things needed to install it properly. I have been using a similar glass protector from another more popular brand to protect my previous iPads and I can tell the Insignia glass protector is at par with it in terms of quality and affordability. This glass protector gives me the peace of mind and I need not worry in case I accidentally drop my iPad. I previously had a bad experience prior to using glass protectors and having the screen repaired cost a lot. For a fraction of the price, the peace of mind is worth it. Although I hope I won’t get to test it, if you know what I mean. The glass protector is durable and does not affect the touchscreen at all. After installing it, I cannot tell it’s there except if you look on the side with the cutouts.

The advent of smart phones, followed by tablets, has made screen protectors a staple of the tech-engaged life. I’ve seen a lot of approaches over the years - and, thankfully, great improvement in the solutions that are available. The Insignia is a great example of a solid, affordable offering. I am very impressed with the quality of the glass protector and that fact that it comes with supplies designed to help you successfully install the screen yourself. It’s true that the strength and durability of the screens that come with smart phones and tablets have also improved dramatically in their resistance to scratches and cracks. Especially with smart phones (iPhone). But none are impervious to damage - and that seems to continue to be true of tablets. All of this makes it prudent to add the extra protection of a screen protector. It’s always better to peel off the screen protector and replace it than to be stuck with a device with a broken screen. As I’ve said, I’m very impressed with the quality and clarity of the Insignia Glass Screen Protector. The one caveat I would add is that I strongly encourage you to have it professionally installed (services are often found at mall kiosks). The Insignia comes with cloths and tape for installing the screen. The cloths allow for cleaning the screen and removing dust before installation. The tape is meant for holding the screen in place for the actually installation. This is where I encountered trouble. The tape did not stay attached to the screen, so I ended up just applying the screen ‘normally’ (as I’ve done many times over the years). There are instructions for removing any air bubbles that get caught under the glass, but I still had trouble with that and ultimately ended up with a permanent air bubble blemish. Thankfully it’s over the screen bezel and does not mar the visible portion of the screen. Good - but not perfect. That’s why I recommend having it installed by a professional. You may have better luck with your own installation, but I’d be cautious about that. Overall, a quality product at a good price.

Normally, when I see a store branded item (like Best Buy's Insignia brand) I tend to shy away as they are not usually up to the "specs" of the name brands. This item, however, breaks that thought process for me. The Insignia Glass Screen Protector was for my iPad Air that I have already managed to drop a few times without harm to the iPad but roughed up the case. I knew it was a matter of time before I did something to the screen so I wanted to get a product to lessen that concern. I looked at a few brands but the price of the Insignia stood out, so I needed to see if it could stand up to the rest, at a much better price. It comes in their "standard" blue and white box, which didn't seem to impress at first touch. The directions for application are on the rear of the box, and I was initially scared that was going to be all there was. Thankfully, upon opening, I saw that it contained all necessary items to get this thing in place. I was also very surprised at the weight and thickness of the screen protector. It brought my expectation level up greatly. Wipes, alcohol pads and "hinge stickers" are contained in the box. The protector is installed by using these hinge stickers to align the screen protector and then folding it out of the way to prepare the screen for application. Once the screen was thoroughly cleaned you peel the "sticky" side of the protector off and, using the hinge stickers, fold the protector onto the iPad screen. I have NEVER had good luck with applying screen protectors (the guys at the malls are pros!) but this one seemed to just float into place. Placing pressure in the middle got the big bubbles out but there were a few smaller ones I had to coax out. Some really small ones refused to budge but seemed to go away by themselves over a day or two. The protector seems really good and slick, but I don't care to try and see what type of hits it can take. For now I'll just know it's doing its job and is really slick. After two weeks there still are no marks or scratches on the glass. I don't have a protector from a competitor to compare to, but this one works great. I you need a glass screen protector and don't want to pay a fifth of your iPads's cost, this is an excellent choice!

With Insignia brand I expect a quality product where they strive to make their 'generic' product be the same if not better than the brand name of the product. In this case, I feel there's missed potential here to be a 5 star product. It's more than a 3 star product when it come to quality, but definitely not a 5 star product. To me it probably fits along the lines of 3.8 stars, but rounding to 4 stars. I tested this on my iPad Air 11" and it fits nicely, and no issues with installing after installing possibly 30+ screen protectors in my life, from full screen glass to Zagg type to glass and tempered glass screen protectors, and all have their own quirks. To be a 5 star product, I would expect this screen protector to have the plastic pieces that make it super easy to install. This is more of the old school method from the screen protectors that costs $10 or a 3 pack online. The thing is if Insignia is trying to be a good quality replacement brand and not just your average every day generic product, they need to step it up a bit more. I feel that I cleaned up the screen pretty well before applying, but just the way the material is, inevitable bubbles and dusty that got caught unfortunately. The instructions to apply the screen protector are straightforward, just didn't have enough patience with ensuring there's absolutely no dust on the screen before applying. And unfortunately this is 1 piece so it's unforgiving if you don't apply it correctly the first time. For the same price you can likely get a 3 piece screen protector of similar quality to where if you mess up the first one, you can discard it knowing you have 2 more attempts for a justified application.

I got this from my iPad as a college student and it’s amazing. I’ve had it for several months. No scratches or cracks works great with the Apple Pencil and it has lifetime warranty.

Excellent screen protector! Application was easy. The biggest thing I’d recommend is to make sure the screen is really clean and that you’re in as dust free of an environment as possible to help avoid getting dust underneath the screen protector. The other thing that I’ve noticed with this is that the screen protector does not scratch easily. I’ve put this in a backpack for several days with no scratches to the screen or screen protector. It has a standard drop and it handled it pretty well. typing inputs and touching the screen are normal and natural as this is an actual glass screen protector not a film not a plastic one and appears to be really high-quality. There was not a lot of waste in the packaging relative to what was needed. I would encourage everyone to have a screen protector for their iPads as this is a very inexpensive investment in that device and helps your screen stay intact without scratches. Lastly, in the three weeks I’ve been trying this. I have dropped it on the asphalt. The screen protector did break as it should, but it did protect the actual screen. There is no damage to the screen on a 6 foot fall 10 out of 10 would recommend.

The newest screen protector from Insignia for the iPad 10.9-inch (10th Gen 2022) and iPad Air 11 inch and iPad Pro 11 inch comes with everything you need to install it properly. After removing dust and cleaning with an alcohol pad you remove the protective plastic from the back of the screen protector then center the screen protector both vertically and horizontally on the device. The reason for centering is this screen protector does not cover the entire iPad 10.9-inch screen, there is a slight margin around the entire screen. Utilizing the provided hinges, you put two on one side and one on the opposite side. This completes the installation process. This screen protector can be used with your finger or Apple pencil without any problems. Utilizing this screen protector increases the light reflection of the device. The screen protector is clean without any distortion to the iPad. This screen protector is a nice addition to a case or portfolio case, the additional protection for your devices screen is worth installing this screen protector.

With an iPad being such an expensive investment, it just makes sense to safeguard the screen with a high quality screen protector. They have come a long way since the dull film protectors that were widely available when tablets first appeared and almost permanently soured me on them. This screen protector is clear glass. It seems thick enough to be protective but it is still thin enough that I haven't noticed any issues with reduced screen sensitivity. Both fingertip touches and my Apple Pencil are responsive and accurate. Colors are still vibrant and true, and I don't notice any additional glare on the screen. Application was easy, but make sure you wipe your screen with an alcohol pad to remove any finger oils or fibers that can get stuck under the screen protector. I have a nice keyboard case, and with that combined with this screen protector, I am not worried about damage to my iPad or scratches on my screen when traveling. The peace of mind makes this product a great investment.

Very durable- fits just right- no glare-easy to read

If you own an iPad a screen protector is a must. There's just not the protective case options available that you can get with an iPhone. What's in the box - Insignia Screen Protector (with horizontal camera notch - yay!) - Wet Wipes/Dry Cloths - Dust Removal Stickers - 3x Hinge Stickers (more on this later) This Insignia iPad Screen Protector, according to the box, is rated at 9H hardness, which is the highest level of hardness you can get on a screen protector. Installation Insignia have an interesting approach for installation. Yes, you clean the screen, use stickers to remove specks of dust, but they have gone for a sticker-based hinge installation. I wish I had filmed this but was too anxiety ridden during the process to think straight. Before you remove the backing, you line the protector up on your screen and then use the 3x hinge stickers to secure the protector to your iPad so that come installation time you (in theory) just lower it down and voilla! a perfect fit protector. In reality, it was stressful especially if you're a perfectionist. I kept getting micro movements with the stickers, accidentally fat-fingered the iPad screen and needed an extra set of hands to clean it mid-install. In the end, I got there and there's no visible bubbles or dust - but my heart is still racing! This is not as easy as it could be, yes it works, but could be easier. What's good The Insignia case is clear, no impact to touch, visibility, and colors on my iPad all still look great. Plus now I know my iPad Pro screen is safe when it's pressed against the Magic Keyboard. Rating I really agonized over what to give the Insignia iPad Screen Protector out of 5. Hovering between 3 and 4, mainly because of the install process. I landed on 3. Why? It has great hardness, has a horizontal notch, and it definitely works - the installation process is just a little too fiddly and anxiety inducing. Yes, I get that including a single use guiding tray is not great for the environment, but using stickers to hinge it on result it too much trial and error (and risk of unwanted specks of dust on your screen). Maybe with more practice I would feel this is worth a 4 - but I am not at that point yet. Still, recommended - if you own an iPad you MUST get a screen protector.

I'm not sure what that means exactly, and I'm not too eager to test it out, lol. But from the feel, it seems like it will offer good protection. As with most screen protectors, one of the most important aspects that makes or breaks the product is the installation. Luckily, Insignia includes many accessories that make installation relatively easy. They include "hinge" stickers (more on this in a minute), wet wipe, dry wipe, polishing cloth, and a piece of dust removal tape. Installation goes like this; first, you line up the screen protector as best as you can. Then use the hinge stickers to keep it in place. Then, fold it over and use the wet wipe to clean the ipad screen. Then the dry wipe. Then the polishing cloth. Then finally, use the dust removal tape to get any last bits of dust that may still be left on the screen. I found that also using a light to shine on the screen helps to see any smudges or dust that you may miss with just your eye. Overall, I took my time and checked my screen several times before moving to the next step, and in the end, I had a very good application. The last step after dust removal is to remove the protective film off the screen protector and then fold the protector back over the ipad. Then you can press down and see the protector begin to adhere to the screen. I started pressing from the middle out, so as not to create too many bubbles. This seemed to work very well, and any bubble that did appear were able to be pressed out with my fingers. In the end, I ended up with no bubbles in the middle of the screen, and only one stubborn bubble near the edge of the screen that just wouldn't move no matter what I did. But since it was so close to the edge, and not actually visible on the screen, I decided to leave it instead of trying to reapply. Once the screen was completely installed, it looks great. It is very seamless and almost unnoticeable. My case still fits with no issue. Touch input still works with no lag or anything. Even the Apple Pencil still works as normal. Overall, it's as if the screen isn't even there. In conclusion, the Insignia screen protector for iPad offers great protection and a relatively easy installation. If you take your time and are careful each step of the way, you should end up with a relatively clean installation. Once installed, the protector does not interfere with the functionality of the tablet in any way. I would highly recommend for anyone in need of screen protection for their iPad.
