I quickly realized it wasn't. This won't prevent a crack if the surface gets hit, but it's not as bad as I expected. It's equal to the Zagg protectors I felt were being offered to be when I bought the phone

The entire edge is left unprotected. Yes, I've checked to be sure it was for my phone. They even say that it is on purpose, to leave room for the case (if I remember their excuse right). 1/4 of an inch clearance? Leaves too much unprotected!!
