It's not really hard-shell, it's more rubbery but still protective. I ended up buying a different one because this didn't fix the problem of the protruding camera on the back of the phone.

It has these little things at each corner that make it sort of stand but not fully touch the surface it’s on, which I really like cause then I know my camera won’t scratch.

I do miss the option to use your finger print to unlock the phone, but all the other functions on the phone make it worth the purchase.

I did buy another case that was “pretty”. I really don’t think the “pretty” one is any better than this clear one & the “pretty” one came at a pretty high price!

Would of bought more but there was not any other colored ones in stock. Will come back and look for another case. Also a new iPad case.
