It does seem thsat it will protect your edges. The top and bottom of the are raised to protect the edges. However, the left and right side are a lower profile closer to the phones edge. When adding a screen protector, the screen protector sits higher than the left and right edge posing a risk to break the protector at the lightest drop.

Not perfect but for the price, it's great.

I like how lightweight it is and very reasonably priced. The only thing I don't like is it doesn't wirelessly charge well. My only complaint is when accepting NFC payments for my business, I have to take the case off. I also have to do that when I use wireless charging overnight.
