However, let me remind you that if you purchased this product after 10/30/2016 you have an extended return period good until 1/15/2017 that you can validate at any Best Buy store with your receipt or order number. Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this about 6 or 7 months ago and I like it - the feel, the price, the appearance, etc. The problem is it cracks in the front bottom corners even with no abuse or knocks. But at this clearance price point, you can just buy a few of them and have backups. Still less than buying a full price case and likely those more expensive cases won't last either.... so as long as you are prepared for the inevitable, this is a good buy.

Long story short, it looks nice but all skin oils or anything else will show. Within a couple months of my purchase I noticed a rather large crack on the bottom piece on the right side and then last week I noticed the left side is now cracked as well. It's easy to see why this happened, it's a design flaw. There is a major lip that sticks up all the way around the sides and bottom so every time you pick up the laptop with one hand when the lid is open you're putting stress on the plastic. That lip also causes discomfort however I had gotten use to it. I will going back to Speck for my next case, much more durable and better design.

The buttons on the case has already fallen off and there is a small crack (I have never dropped it). I called Insignia and they said "this is normal wear and tear, the buttons are not covered". 2 months?? Am I suppose to replace the case every two months?? Seriously. I asked the lady very nicely, "I have had this case for 2 months, this is not normal wear and tear. The buttons are falling off". Her response "sorry :(". 1 exact word. I expect a response Best Buy.
