Good price. Easy to move from room to room or out onto the porch. I primarily listen to NPR and enjoy access to alternative programming not available elsewhere. Too bad the signal isn't continuous while driving.

this hd radio is awesome I would recommend it a lot

I'm able to receive stations that formerly were static filled. Now, I can sing along with the oldies and receive wonderful classical music.

I bought this on recommendation from a friend. Got it at a good price, and find the reception better than my old FM component tuner. Sound is what you'd expect on such a small unit, but I look forward to improving that with added speakers (which friend recommends doing and who gets great sound now.) The simplicity is also great, meaning no docking, no alarm, nothing that opens your garage door or raises your heat or fries eggs (before you get home)!

I was looking for a quality HD Radio to listen to local baseball games (recently cut the cable cord and I miss local sports). This radio is great and works as advertised.

All I wanted was a radio, and this fit the bill perfectly! No clock, no alarm, no other bells and whistles, just a radio that sounds great and is easy to use, and that includes figuring out the presets.

This is my second unit I bought for another room. These are really desktop units but if output to a amplified speaker system through the mini headphone jack, you get plenty of volume to listen all over the room. The main speaker is about 2 1/2", standard mid range radio speaker. I think it's the lowest price for local HD reception. I've used the first unit about five years and it's showing it's age. The new one now sounds better through its primary speaker.

It's so hard to find stereos anymore that play radio stations, this is nice to have, and for the media player type people who prefer MP3 players there is a stereo in jack too

These are getting hard to find in the stores, so if you do find one, buy it now. It does a fair job of receiving FM-HD radio and the HD1 and HD2 stations. It has a display for one line of text from the HD station too. Audio isn't bad for a small plastic case, but better with headphones. Please note that this does NOT include the AM band analog or HD- no AM (BUT some FM stations put their local AM station on an HD-2 FM signal, so that might help in some areas. Add AM and I'll add a star!

I was looking for an HD radio for my electronics workbench. One of the stations I listen to is an AM all news station. Because of the electronic equipment I use, the static on a regular AM radio was insane. Not a problem in digital HD which is why I was looking for an inexpensive HD radio. This one exceeded my expectations, and on to of that, it was on sale. Highly recommended.

I love the fact that you can tune this to the exact station instead of searching only. Some of my favorite local stations don't have the strongest signal, but this radio picked them up perfectly. It's the perfect beach companion also!

I have looked for a HD radio that I could plug into my shop radio stereo and this fit just the ticket. I had to locate a cable to connect the radio to the stereo receiver but it did so and is AMAZING to receive all the available HD stations and the sound is incredible. I run it through some great speakers and subwoofer and there is no discernable difference or drop of clarity in the sound. Only thing is that the remote for the stereo does not operate the volume of the radio but that is the receiver issue not this radio. All this and the cost was less than $50.00. I am so thrilled to have all these stations available and at such a great cost.

A friend of mine had purchased one of These radios and told me of the great Sound you receive from tjhe HD stations With out commercials &interruption free Music. I listened to his & I was sold on it

Awesome little radio for tuning in the extra sub channels nice front end I think its a great price! the only thing missing is the AM side of the radio

I wanted a radio at work due to new rules about streaming on the companies network. This radio works great for being at the office. It picks up signals really well in the building and also has HD radio. HD radio allows a lot more stations to listen to and can give you info about the current song, etc. This radio was made for a small foot print on the desk too. $40 seemed like a lot but I bought cheaper, less featured ones and they failed to work in the office building.

The Insignia HD Tabletop Radio is a sweet surprise in a small package. It puts out great sound and volume and is small enough to move from room to room. The reception is good and is has replaced my Sirius Portable Radio which had terrible reception. This little gem has provided us with great entertainment at a great cost.

I wanted this radio for the top of my refrigerator, and it works there nicely. Only drawback is having to tilt it to read the backlit screen, but reception is excellent. Just what I needed.
