The ring opening is spring loaded so it's fairly easy to open and clip on most things. I wouldn't use it as a key ring but I did attach it to my current key ring. I also attached one to an inside hook of my backpack.

I have never had one of these holders break on me. I keep one on my keys and they get tossed around pretty good, and the sleeve hs no signs of wear. Great product

I gave it as a birthday gift for my dad. It was very handy. He recently used it on his travel to NY. He put it in his luggages, wallet, and my mom's bag. He was able to track his items using his iPhone "My Find" app. It is easy to use. I highly recommend.
