Compared to some other headsets on the market, this one is quite affordable, however, for me it was not plug and play. When I initially took it out of the box, I thought either my phone or headset was broken because I got absolutely no audio, and had to read the directions. There is a slider (which I figured was for volume) that is in fact 'headset type selection'. You need to adjust this slider to match your phone type. I tried this on 3 different phone models, and it worked on all 3, with some adjustments. I wanted to post my findings here in case it helps anyone else. Here are the optimal settings I found for the phones that I have access to: Snom D765 (should be the same across all D700 series phones) - Headset type slider set to "2" on the headset controls. Mitel/Aastra 6867i (should be the same across all 6800 series phones) - Headset type slider set to "1" on the headset controls (leave the plastic insert to make the port smaller in place on the phone). Nortel/Avaya 1165e (should be the same across all 1100 series phones) - Headset type on phone set to Type 2 under Prefs > Audio > Headset > Headset Type. On the headset itself, set the slider to Type "1". In some ways, I wish this headset was simpler, since most phones already have a mute switch and volume controls on them, so it seems kind of duplicate to have them on the headset too. And I wish that it was more plug and play. Other than that, the audio quality seems to be good once you get your settings on both the phone and headset correct. And the price was also right too.

Hands free headset works well. Sound quality is great and clear. Thus far (after a few uses) I'm very pleased and satisfied. Hopefully, it will last a good while.

This headset was easy to install and has great sound quality. It is interesting that it has different channels so it should work with an style phone. I like the mute and volume features on the wire, it makes it easier when using the headset especially when moved some distance from the actual phone. The cord is long which is great, I can stand up and walk around without the 'hollow' sound of using the speaker phone.

Clear voice. Easy to setup and use. Comfortable enough to wear for long periods. Very long cord. Only issue is when you hit mute it makes a noise like you disconnected the call. Other than that, extremely happy with the purchase.

Given the current situation we are in, I was forced to move a workshop online via Zoom but was having trouble with the computer audio since I wanted to share my PowerPoint with the group. There is a telephone in the office so I bought this to use for the presentation and it worked like a charm. The mute button is also a nice feature, as well as the channel select so I could make the audio as clear as possible. Keep in mind this only works if you have an old style phone line and is not for your computer.

Not fancy but very usable. Sound is clear. The fit requires some adjusting to get it comfortable.

Works well. I use it once or twice a day and have had no problems. Had to do some initial trial & error setup (quick process) to get the channel selector in the right place, but haven't had to touch it since. Mute button comes in handy.

This Insignia headset is well worth the money, it's basic but does the job. The sound quality is fine. The only minor issue is the mute button can be accidently activated you need to be careful not to press it.

Works great - no difficulty hearing. Need one more shorter level of adjustments for how the headset fits. Overall, great value.

I would've liked it to have some sort of passthrough for handset use along with headset use but for the price it is what it is. People on the other end of the phone say they here me just fine but the difference between handset and headset are noticeable.

The sound quality is excellent but difficult to use when wearing and trying to adjust the buttons for answering and talking. Not easy for an older person.

THIS ITEM WORKS WELL BUT TAKES SOME TIME GETTING USE TO THE VOLUME SETTINGS

I am hard of hearing and this helps a lot. I just wish it was binaural so I didn't have one ear exposed during a call.

Does the job it's made to do. Hands free and a great relief on the neck for those of us that a phone is an important part of our requirement.

They connected to my desk phone easy, be sure the phone has a feature for the headset on the keyboard. Good deal for the price

I bought this headset because my new office phone is difficult to cradle on my shoulder while typing. This product makes that task much easier and it easily adjusts.

Purchased for use in call center environment. The set works well for the costs.
