The two flash that I purchase on sale were very good for the price. The flash lift only take one AA battery which I found useful do to less waste when ready to dispose. The light for being small is very bright a light weight. I give it a five start because of size and good quality.

These are great flashlights. They are very bright, and uses AA batteries.

Purchased these flashlights after purchasing the larger Insignia D battery flashlight. I highly recommend that model but sadly best buy no longer carries it. The 6 AA flashlight is also good but a bit heavy and bulky, making it awkward to hold for regular use. Pros: -Light output is great for it's lightweight and small size. Cons: -easily overheats and will randomly stop working at times. It once shut off and wouldn't turn on because i put it in my pocket while it was on and it overheated after a minute. Might just be a QC issue but both flashlights do the same thing. Sometimes overheats from regular use after a few minutes and then takes a few minutes to cool down and turn on. -DO NOT USE RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES!!!! I used rechargeable Dynex batteries (best buy brand, i think). The flashlight doesn't use springs to hold the batteries. It uses a clicking button that creates too tight of a fit for the batteries. The pressure deformed the bottom of the batteries (both batteries because they are stacked) and now they are useless and won't charge after about a month of use. ONLY USE DISPOSABLE BATTERIES, if you plan on purchasing these flashlights.

I have kept one in my camping kit and one in my car. This is small and compact. Everyone should have something like this in their emergency kit

I got a pair of these lights for my son and I to keep in our camping gear, based on my satisfaction with the larger version. These smaller versions are the perfect compromise in brightness and portability - when they work. The Pros: They are nice and bright, and when set wide, the coverage is very even without the "hot spots" typical of most flashlight designs in this price range. We call them our "Scooby-Doo" Flashlights, because the even coverage looks as if it's right out of a cartoon. Setting the beam narrow can light up a street sign with ease from a few blocks away. The ability to set the light for three modes is a handy feature - especially being able to reduce brightness. My only wish is that its "default" setting was dim, then bright. Also, the "3-point" lens opening enables you to stand it on end to produce a glowing light source. The Cons: Unfortunately, when camping this past January, my light (black) stopped working almost immediately, and the batteries got hot. I estimate that I got a total of 2-3 minutes of use prior to the trip. Thankfully, I always have a backup, and my son's (silver) continues to work flawlessly - so far. This lack of reliability alone took what would have been a 5 star review to a 2. Even if I replaced it, I wouldn't feel that I could rely on it when I need it most. Recommendation: I DO recommend this flashlight, but with the following advice: keep your packaging and receipt handy; keep a backup option available; and purchase with the understanding that you may be buying one flashlight, and one opportunity to contribute to your local recycling program.

The light up places that are dark. Both flashlights work great!!.

I guess 2 for $10, I couldn't expect much. I bought them to throw in my cars. They case a yellow light and aren't effective for anything beyond 25ft.

I bought a pair, and now 1 died. The other 1 also does not work well. This product does not last long, I could only use a few time for camping.
