These work just fine for flash lights around the office. You need to pull the little plastic tab out from the back so the battery makes contact. Takes a second.

These flashlights continue to come in handy. Unfortunately, one did not work. Either the battery is no good or I broke it by turning it on before taking the paper thing out first. I still like them, though, We all use them around the house.
