Unfortunately out of 2 adapters, one was DOA and other only worked in one orientation of lightning and not on reverse. I returned it in store and got Apple lightning to 3.5mm adapter that works flawlessly. Best to stay away from Insignia brand.

The sound is the same as if I plugged my earphones directly into my PC , no loss of quality is apparent. They appear to be well constructed with braided wire and reinforced connection at each plug end. I'm very satisfied with them and would buy again.

In particular, the cord is minimalist and could be more substantial (heft and weight). It may work for a long time (I don't know, I just got it), but it just feels like it won't last.
