Cables are ample length. Adding a piece of heat sink material or silicone helps keep it from getting excessively hot. The design helps with gripping yet remains flat when laid down. I would give it 5 stars if it included a heat shield, I’m not referring to a heat sink. And if plastic the tool less feature was more durable.

If you can clarify that it would be 5 stars. The pin has some space for the SSD to slot in before trying to close it.

I have several types of this enclosure the cheap cheap ones from a different website. The only thing I had a slight issue with was the price but the convenience of Best Buy made it worth it. 4 stars because of the price.

This should be labelled clearly on the outside of the box. I assumed any M2 drive would be NVMe compatible but this is clearly not. Purchased to use with Skhynix SSD but would not recognize. Whatever latch that comes in the enclosure is useless as well could not attach with the SSD enclosed. I previously used the same drive with "SSK Aluminum M.2 NVME SATA SSD Enclosure Adapter, USB 3.2" no issue.

In fact, I ordered one more today identical to the first one. I hope it will work as well on my 2023 MacBook Pro M3 Silicon as my first one does. Using them for my Apple Time Machine 3 Gig of backups.
